Some folks are reporting the sign-up bonus on the Chase IHG Rewards Club Select Card counts toward IHG Spire elite status.  But I wouldn’t count on it, as it seems to NOT work for everyone.

@Issac: transferring Chase UR points totally worked for me! YMMV

If I transfer Chase UR points to my IHG account, will those points be counted as elite qualifying points earned?

I applied for the 80k IHG card in January. Points posted in March. Got upgraded to Spire Elite and received 25000 bonus points. So, 1 lakh points just with the sign up bonus. 🙂
