Looking for a last-minute getaway?  JetBlue may have your answer with their latest flash sale.  There are cheap flights to the Caribbean and domestic deals starting at $44 one-way!

To get in on these deals, you must book by September 21, 2018, at the earlier of 11:59 pm Eastern Time or local time!

And, with the right credit card points, you can even book these flights for free and earn frequent flyer miles and the same time!

Folks in JetBlue Hub Cities, Like New York, Can Find Lots of Deals!

JetBlue Fall for It Sale

End date:   September 21, 2018, at the earlier of 11:59 pm Eastern Time or local time

Terms & restrictions:   Subject to availability, blackout dates and day restrictions vary by route

Discounted one-way routes include:

  • Austin to New York for $99
  • Nashville to Fort Lauderdale for $64
  • Orlando to Havana for $99
  • Washington DC to Fort Myers for $99
  • Washington DC to Hartford for $54
  • Worcester to New York for $44
  • and more!

The price of JetBlue awards flights is tied to the cash price of the ticket.  So cheaper fares mean you can book flights with fewer points.  The cheapest one-way flight costs only 2,200 JetBlue points + less than $6 in fees!

You can search for your flight on Google Flights and book it directly on JetBlue’s website.  And you’ll have 24 hours to cancel a reservation if the flight is at least 7 days away.  So, you can take advantage of these cheap fares and finalize plans later.

Don’t forget though, JetBlue just increased their baggage fees to $30 for the first checked bag.  But folks with the Barclaycard JetBlue Plus Card get a free first checked bag for themselves and up to 3 companions on the same reservation when they use their card to pay for their ticket.  Plus they’ll get 10% back on award flights!

Hotel Information

If you book a sale flight, remember there are lots of ways to get cheap or free hotel rooms with points from credit card bonuses and spending.

To find hotels that can be booked with points, I often use Hotel Hustle (which even shows you if rooms are actually available!) or AwardMapper.

Remember, you can transfer flexible points like Chase Ultimate Rewards or American Express Membership Rewards to different hotel programs.

Note:  If you prefer to book paid stays, check out discount sites like Orbitz or Expedia for deals.  But remember you won’t get stay credits or points (and might not have your elite status recognized!).

Airbnb is another terrific way to save money on accommodations, especially for longer stays.  Here are some tips on how to negotiate a better Airbnb price, and how to find a safe and comfortable Airbnb.
