Last month, I told you about Starwood’s former senior vice president, Mark Vondrasek, being hired as Hyatt’s global head of loyalty.
Now, we’ve learned that Hyatt has hired ANOTHER former Starwood executive to its World of Hyatt program. And because most folks love the Starwood’s loyalty program, this could point to great things with Hyatt!

Link: Will Hyatt’s Loyalty Program Soon Adopt Valuable Starwood Traits?
Hyatt has drafted former Starwood senior vice president of consumer insights, Amy Weinberg, as the senior vice president of the World of Hyatt program.
Weinberg was previously responsible for leading global analytics, market research and customer relationship management functions at Starwood. And according to Mark Vondrasek, her boss and the now global head of loyalty, Amy Weinberg’s assignment will be to “identify with our guests and understand their needs.”
Hyatt is already my favorite hotel chain. They have incredible hotels all over the world, and their points go further than most other hotel points. But I love the Starwood program, too! So I’m excited to see the benefit of the minds behind Starwood running World of Hyatt.
You can read my post with hope-filled speculation here. 😉
Bottom Line
Hyatt now has another former high-ranking Starwood executive working for its loyalty program! Amy Weinberg, who spent 12 years intimately involved with the Starwood’s loyalty program, is now the senior vice president of World of Hyatt.
Here’s hoping the World of Hyatt program continues to improve, and adopts a few positive traits from Starwood, too!
