Discounted Hyatt Points 2017

Link: 24,000 Hyatt Points for $260
Starting at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, you’ll be able to buy Hyatt points through Daily Getaways for much less than Hyatt sells them for. Even with the current 30% bonus (which ends May 23, 2017), you’ll still pay ~1.85 cents per point.
Hyatt markets these as “free nights“, but they are in fact just different amounts of points. And the amount you’ll pay per point depends on which package you buy. Here’s what’s available:
- 24,000 Hyatt points for $260 (~1.08 cents per point)
- 30,000 Hyatt points for $330 (1.1 cents per point)
- 40,000 Hyatt points for $415 (~1.04 cents per point)
- 72,000 Hyatt points for $775 (~1.07 cents per point)
Each Hyatt member is limited to 1 of each package. And you’ll need to already be a World of Hyatt member (joining is free!) to buy these packages. Once you buy a package, you’ll receive the points in your account within 10 days.
Most folks will probably like the 24,000 Hyatt points for $260 (other packages are a better deal, but quite a bit more money!). Buying this package is like buying Hyatt points for just ~1.08 cents each!
Are These Packages a Good Deal?
If you know how to use Hyatt points, this can be an excellent deal! Because you can get much more value than just 1.08 cents per point, depending on where you stay.
For example, the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, Chicago, usually charges $170+ per night. But you can book a free night for just 5,000 Hyatt points, giving you a value of 3.4 cents per point ($170 per night / 5,000 Hyatt points)!
Buying 24,000 Hyatt points for $260 would get you nearly 5 free nights at this hotel. That means you would receive almost $850 in value from a $260 purchase!
However, it’s easy to get a much worse redemption rate with other hotels! So only buy this Daily Getaways deal if you’re confident you can get a good value from your points.
Note: Use a card that earns bonus points for travel, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or Citi Prestige. Because when you buy packages from Daily Getaways, it codes as a travel purchase. And remember, if you want to extend your Hyatt stay even further, you can apply for the Hyatt Credit Card. It comes with 2 free nights at ANY Hyatt hotel after meeting minimum spending requirements. And this is one of the few cards NOT affected by Chase’s strict approval rules.
Bottom Line
Starting today at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, you can buy Hyatt points at a steep discount! You’ll be able to choose from 4 different packages, including 24,000 Hyatt points for $260. That’s a value of 1.08 cents per point!
These packages will sell quickly, so make sure you’re ready when these deals become available!
