Here’s a way to earn more than enough American Airlines miles for a one-way Business Class ticket to Europe – or a round-trip in coach – with ONE sign-up bonus!

For a limited time, you’ll earn 60,000 American Airlines miles after making your first purchase and paying the annual fee with the Barclaycard AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite MasterCard.  This is the highest bonus ever offered for this card.

Emily and I don’t earn a commission for this card, but we’ll always share the best deals with you!

The previous offer for the card was 50,000 American Airlines miles after meeting the minimum spending requirement.

Now, with the Barclaycard AAdvantage Aviator Red, you’ll earn 60,000 American Airlines miles after making your first purchase and paying the $95 annual fee.  This offer expires November 30, 2017.

You’ll also get:

  • 2X American Airlines miles per $1 for purchases with American Airlines
  • 1X American Airlines miles per $1 for all other purchases
  • Group 1 boarding for the primary cardholder and up to 4 passengers on the same reservation on domestic itineraries operated by American Airlines
  • 10% rebate when you redeem American Airlines miles (maximum rebate of 10,000 miles per year)
  • First checked bag free for you and 4 passengers on the same reservation (domestic flights only)

This card also has NO foreign transaction fees, so it’s a good card to use internationally!

Note:   Paying the annual fee does NOT count as your first purchase when earning the sign-up bonus.

But keep in mind, it’s become much more difficult to find available American Airlines award seats lately.  And if you’re new to our hobby, there are better cards to consider signing-up for first, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Bottom Line

Until November 30, 2017, the Barclaycard AAdvantage Aviator Red has its highest offer ever!   You’ll earn 60,000 American Airlines miles after making your first purchase and paying the $95 annual fee.

Previously, the sign-up bonus was 50,000 American Airlines miles after meeting the same requirement, so this is a better deal!

I don’t recommend this card if you’re new to miles and points.  But if you’ve already got the Chase cards you want, and like American Airlines miles, it’s a nice offer!

We don’t earn a commission for the Barclaycard AAdvantage Aviator Red.  But Emily and I will always let you know about improved offers!

Maybe I worded my previous question wrong (since I haven’t gotten a reply) :). Since the card I applied for and was approved for in 2014 was the US Airways card, and they sent me the Aviator Red to replace the US Airways card, is it possible for me to apply for the Aviator Red now and get the bonus? The bonus I received before was US Airways miles, which became AA miles when the two companies merged. Would they be considered two different products?

How long does it take for the 60,000 miles to post to your AA account after making the required one purchase on the credit card?

I was approved for the Barclays US Airways card in November of 2014. That card became AAdvantage Aviator Red when AA and US Airlines merged. I closed the card on November 30, 2015. Is it possible for me to get the card and the bonus?

how long is this offer good for ?

Until November 30, 2017 – I’ve updated the post.

Existing cardmembers, existing accounts, and previous cardmember with accounts closed in the past 24 months may not be eligible for this offer

Million Mile Secrets

Correct!

I previously had the Barclay Aviator White (no fee, it is now closed). Am I eligible for this one?

Million Mile Secrets

You should be, because it’s considered a different card product.
