Scott: We really hope Silvercar isn’t brought down along with Audi CEO Rupert Stadler, arrested today for his part in systematically cheating the US Clean Air Act by rigging software that tested for diesel emissions over the past decade.

Instead of being fired since the scandal came to light, he’s been promoted. All are innocent until proven guilty, but after a raid of his apartment in Munich, it doesn’t look good.
Even if you’re the type of person who doesn’t care about polluting the air that our children breathe, the cheating, cover-up, lies, and acceptance of tax breaks and awards gave the German manufacturer advantages over other car makers.
Audi USA has since discontinued using their slogan “Truth in Engineering.”
