There’s good news if you have any version of the Amex Platinum card, including The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express. As of today (January 6th), your cards get you access to two new airport lounges at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport — an Amex Centurion Lounge and an Escape Lounge. Enrollment required for select benefits.

This is the ninth U.S. Centurion Lounge and the twelfth U.S. Escape lounge, there are also four new U.S. Centurion Lounges coming soon to Los Angeles, New York (JFK), Charlotte and Denver. With your card and a same-day boarding pass, you and up to two guests can visit either lounge for free. However, you can only enter Centurion Lounges up to three hours before departure, unless you’re on a connecting flight.

New airport lounges open at Phoenix

Both lounges share the same entrance and are located in Terminal 4 across from gate B22. They are both open from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. If you are departing from another terminal you will need to clear security at Terminal 4 as there is no airside access from the other terminals.

Both lounges featured comfortable work spaces, free Wi-Fi, showers and complimentary food and beverages.

Later this month, there will be another American Express card that will get you access to Centurion Lounges. The Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card comes with complimentary access to Amex Centurion Lounges, but you have to pay $50 per guest for up to two guests. Also, you must be traveling with Delta and your airfare must be purchased with a U.S. issued Amex card.

If you don’t have a card that gets you into Escape Lounges you can pay $45 at the door and children under 24 months old are free. Or if you book online more than 24 hours in advance you’ll only pay $40.
