One of the many benefits that come with American Express credit cards is the ability to save with AMEX Offers (you can learn all about them here).  And with these new American Express offers you can save quite a bit when using your American Express card to stay at certain Marriott brands.

These offers can earn you a $40 statement credit after spending $200+ on room rates and room charges.  And this deal is available for 4 different Marriott brands, for a total of up to $160 back.  These offers are targeted, but widely available.  They expire on January 31, 2019, so be sure to pay for your room by that date.

1.  Four Points by Sheraton

• Spend $200+ on room rate and room charges get $40 back
• Offer only applies to Four Points by Sheraton locations in the US & Puerto Rico
• You must book directly with Marriott to qualify

These offers are targeted offers, but they seem to be very widely targeted.  So it is highly likely that your American Express card will have at least one of these offers available.

Add these offers to your card and remember to use the same card when you reserve your room directly with Marriott.

This is a good deal, because you can get up to 20% off room rates. ($200 / $40 back).  For those planning to stay at one of these brands this is a good offer because you can combine it with other deals and discounts, like making your reservation through a cash back portal first.
