American Express credit cards have an awesome money-saving feature.  Scroll down in your AMEX account online and you’ll see it.  It’s called AMEX Offers.  Just click the ones you like — and when you pay with your American Express credit card, you’ll automatically get a statement credit!

There are no rotating categories to remember, no coupons to show, and nobody but you will know you’re saving money this way.

This year I saved $120 on stuff I was likely to buy anyway.  You’ll probably save a lot more than me because I’m not much of a shopper.

You can get these automatic discounts on great American Express credit cards like:

This year I’ve saved money using my American Express credit cards to pay for

  • flights
  • hotels
  • restaurants
  • wine store purchases
  • Wal-Mart (I used it for free grocery delivery and was impressed)
  • and more!

Bottom Line

Save money on purchases you’d make anyway by clicking the offers in your AMEX account and then paying with your American Express credit card!  We recommend American Express cards such as:

Excellent review. I smiled and snickered a little bit when I realized how fast I am running in the points and miles hamster wheel, in that I go “meh” when I am offered cash as opposed to “real points” (Membership Rewards.) 😉

I feel the same way! I’d almost always go for the points option over cash. Usually the points are much more valuable!

I need my reward card
