We are an independent publisher. Our reporters create honest, accurate, and objective content to help you make decisions. To support our work, we are paid for providing advertising services. Many, but not all, of the offers and clickable hyperlinks (such as a “Next” button) that appear on this site are from companies that compensate us. The compensation we receive and other factors, such as your location, may impact what ads and links appear on our site, and how, where, and in what order ads and links appear. While we strive to provide a wide range of offers, our site does not include information about every product or service that may be available to you. We strive to keep our information accurate and up-to-date, but some information may not be current. So, your actual offer terms from an advertiser may be different than the offer terms on this site. And the advertised offers may be subject to additional terms and conditions of the advertiser. All information is presented without any warranty or guarantee to you.

This page may include: credit card ads that we may be paid for (“advertiser listing”); and general information about credit card products (“editorial content”). Many, but not all, of the offers and clickable hyperlinks (such as a “Apply Now” button or “Learn More” button) that appear on this site are from companies that compensate us. When you click on that hyperlink or button, you may be directed to the credit card issuer’s website where you can review the terms and conditions for your selected offer. Each advertiser is responsible for the accuracy and availability of its ad offer details, but we attempt to verify those offer details. We have partnerships with advertisers such as Brex, Capital One, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo and Discover. We also include editorial content to educate consumers about financial products and services. Some of that content may also contain ads, including links to advertisers’ sites, and we may be paid on those ads or links.

Update:   One or more card offers in this post are no longer available.  Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers.  UPDATE: The Chase Sapphire Preferred no longer earns 3X points on the 1st Friday of the month.

In our hobby, great deals are NOT going to last forever.  So enjoy them as much as you can while you can!

I loved getting 3X Chase Ultimate Rewards points at restaurants on the 1st Friday of each month with my Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Enjoy 3X Chase Ultimate Rewards Points on 1st Fridays Until the End of 2015!
But View from the Wing reminds us this is ending after 2015.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred Is STILL My Favorite Card

Link:   Chase Sapphire Preferred

Even though the 1st Friday dining perk will end after 2015, the Chase Sapphire Preferred is still my favorite credit card.

And it’s 1 of the best cards for beginners because you get:

Note:   If you’re new to our hobby, this is 1 of the 1st cards you should consider.  That’s because Chase has changed their application rules.

If you’ve opened 5 or more credit card accounts (from any bank) in the past 24 months, it’s VERY UNLIKELY Chase will approve you for any of their Chase Ultimate Rewards earning cards, including the Chase Sapphire Preferred.

I Enjoyed My Stay at the Park Hyatt Milan!  Hyatt Is a Chase Ultimate Rewards Hotel Partner

Chase Ultimate Rewards are great for folks looking for flexibility, because they transfer to several airline and hotel partners.

Chase Ultimate Rewards Points Are Valuable When You Transfer to Travel Partners

I’ve gotten a lot of Big Travel from the Chase Sapphire Preferred and will continue to keep it!

Live It Up!

Remember, the 1st Friday dining benefit will end after 2015.

It’s been a great limited-time offer.  But it’s NOT over yet!

You can still enjoy this perk until the end of the year.  So dine out while you can.  And I’ll remind you each month when 1st Friday is near!

It’s a Big World Out There!  Don’t Save Your Points as a Long-Term Investment.  Use ’em!

This is a great reminder that our hobby is constantly changing, so USE your points.  Do NOT hoard them!

And do NOT expect great deals to last forever.  Enjoy them while you can and travel when you can!

The Chase Sapphire Preferred still earns 2X Chase Ultimate Rewards points for dining every day, so I’ll continue to use it at restaurants, even while abroad.  Because there are NO foreign transaction fees.

And who knows, maybe Chase will offer another promotion for Chase Sapphire Preferred members in 2016!

Bottom Line

Don’t forget, the Chase Sapphire Preferred will no longer earn 3X Chase Ultimate Rewards points for dining on the 1st Friday of each month after 2015.  This is a nice perk, so enjoy it while you can!

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is STILL my favorite credit card because I can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to airline and hotel partners like British Airways, Southwest, and Hyatt for Big Travel!

This is also a great reminder to USE your points because NO great deal lasts forever!
