Combine Hotel Promotions with Citi Prestige for Maximum Benefit
Many hotels offer promotions and discounts when you have a multiple night paid stay. For example, you might see a promotion for 3rd night free when you pay for 2 nights.
Or maybe you can get an extra free night when you pay for an upgraded room like a suite.
Before I show you how to maximize these hotel promotions, let’s look at the Citi Prestige 4th night free frequently asked questions.
Q: Does a hotel rate with a “third, fifth, etc.” night free promotion qualify?A: Yes, currently we allow it to be combined with other promotions.
Now, the trick is to find hotels that offer a free night NOT on the 4th night. Because you’ll need to pay the room rate for the 4th night in order to receive a credit from Citi.
Here are 2 examples of getting additional free nights and huge savings!

1. Make Sure You’re Getting the Best Price
Before you begin booking your stay, research your options and compare prices. Remember you can apply AARP, AAA, and military discounts to 4th night free stays with Citi.
Citi can NOT match prices you find on other online travel agencies like Orbitz or Expedia. But they CAN match the price offered directly from the hotel. So, if Citi quotes you a higher price than what’s displayed on the hotel’s website, tell them the exact price you see.
2. Contact Citi Prestige Concierge
Fourth night free reservations with the Citi Prestige can NOT be booked online. You can book by calling Citi’s concierge service, Aspire Lifestyles at 561-922-0158. Or you can e-mail [email protected]. I’d recommend calling because it can take a few days to hear back on e-mail and prices and available rooms can change.
Make sure to ask the concierge to apply any promotion codes you want. If the hotel offers a 3rd night free, there might be a specific promotion code you have to provide.
3. Review the Hotel Reservation
Within 24 hours of booking your hotel reservation with Citi Prestige Concierge, you’ll receive a confirmation with the booking details and amount you’ll receive for the 4th night credit.
Note: If you do not pre-pay the hotel reservation with Citi Prestige Concierge, you’ll need to pay with the Citi Prestige card at the hotel in order to receive the 4th night credit.4. Check Your Credit Card Statement
Here’s an example of the 4th night rebate being applied to the billing statement within days following the stay. Although Citi says you’ll receive the credit within 1 to 2 billing cycles, you’ll usually get it 1 or 2 weeks after your stay.
5. Earn Hotel Loyalty Points
When you book with Citi Concierge, make sure to provide your hotel loyalty account information. This way you’ll earn points for your stay.
Also, register for current hotel promotions like Starwood Triple Up, so you can maximize the points you earn during your paid stay.
Bottom Line
You can use the 4th night free perk on the Citi Prestige card with other hotel promotions like 3rd night free or buy 4 nights, get 2 free. This means you’ll get big savings and extra free hotel nights.
Book Citi Prestige 4th-night-free reservations by calling 561-922-0158. Remember to mention any specific promotion codes you’d like to apply to get the most savings.
Have you combined the 4th night free with other hotel promotions?
