Is This Card a Good Deal?
Here’s a quick review of the benefits:
How Can You Use the Free Night?
The free night certificate you get for signing-up for the Marriott Rewards Premier Business card is good towards Marriott category 1 to 4 hotels. The free night you get each year for your card anniversary can be used towards Marriott category 1 to 5 hotels.
Within these categories are a good number of hotels located in popular travel destinations. Many of the hotels are NOT located in the heart of the action. But they are free.
For example, you could stay at the category 4 Marriott hotel, Courtyard Lake Buena Vista which is not on the Disney World property, but it’s only a ~5 minute drive away.

Use Your 70,000 Points at Ritz-Carlton
You will also get 70,000 Marriott points when complete the minimum spending on this card. You could use these points at a fancy Ritz-Carlton hotel like the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong.

Climb Faster Up the Elite Status Ladder
You get Marriott Silver status with this card and this isn’t good for much except a 20% point bonus on stays and priority late check-out (when available).
But this does get you 1 step closer the Marriott Gold & Platinum status, which would give you free breakfast, internet, lounge access, and more.
This is valuable if you stay at a lot of Marriott hotels.
Bottom Line
You will get 70,000 Marriott hotel points when you sign-up for the Marriott Rewards Premier Business card and complete the minimum spending. You will also get 1 free night in a category 1 to 4 Marriott hotel and a free night in a Marriott category 1 to 5 hotel for your card anniversary each year.
This is a good card for folks who frequently stay at Marriott hotels. That’s because the 15 elite night credits you get with the card will help you reach Marriott Gold & Platinum status, which means you get free breakfast, internet, lounge access, and more.
Even if you don’t stay at Marriott hotels often, this could be a good card just for the free nights and the points that you can use towards a free stay at a top tier Ritz-Carlton hotel.
If you don’t qualify for a business card, you can apply for the Marriott Premier Rewards personal card which has many of the same benefits.
