I’m not seeing Allegiant Air as an option in the results for the Chase Travel Portal.  But I’ve confirmed flights are available directly through Allegiant Air.  Can I still book those flights with Chase Ultimate Rewards points?

Some Flights Are NOT Searchable on the Chase Website. But You Can Still Book Them With Chase Ultimate Rewards Points!

Allegiant Air flights do NOT show up in your Chase Ultimate Rewards Travel Portal search results.  But you can book Allegiant Air flights with Chase Ultimate Rewards points.  As well as flights on Gol, Norwegian Air, and Southwest.

But you’ll have to do a little bit of extra legwork.  I’ll show you how.

How to Book “Secret” Flights With Chase Ultimate Rewards Points

Link:   Why Chase Ultimate Rewards Points Are My Favorite Points

Link:   How to Use the Chase Travel Portal

Even though you can’t see them on the Chase Travel Portal when you search, you can book these 4 airlines with Chase Ultimate Rewards points:

  • Allegiant Air
  • Gol
  • Norwegian Air
  • Southwest

Here’s what you’ll need to do to book your flights:

Step 1.   Find Your Flight

Link:   How to Use Google Flights Search

You can search for flights on Allegiant Air’s website.  But, when I want to search multiple airlines I like to use Google Flights to save time.

Once you find the flight you want, write down the following information:

  • Airline
  • Date
  • Flight number
  • Departure city & time
  • Arrival city & time

Give Complete Flight Information to the Chase Travel Center Representative to Save Time

If you are having trouble finding a flight, you can call Chase, and ask them to search for you.  But I don’t like being on the phone longer than I have to.  And it’s quicker to give the phone agent the flight information directly.

Note:   Southwest does NOT appear on Google Flights.  You’ll have to search on their website directly.

Step 2.   Call Chase to Book Your Flight

When you’re ready to book, call the Chase travel center at 866-951-6592.  The Chase Ultimate Rewards points will be automatically deducted from your account.

Remember, when you book this way, you WILL earn miles and credit toward elite status just as if you’d purchased a cash ticket!

How Many Points Will It Cost?

The cost depends on which Chase credit card you have, and the cash price of the flight.  You will be able to redeem points for between 1 to 1.5 cents per point towards your airfare.

Chase Ink Business Cash Credit Card1 cent

If you’re like me, you have more than one Chase Ultimate Rewards points earning card.  In that case, be sure to move your points to the card that has the highest value before you book.

Use the Money You Save on Flights to Orlando to Get Tickets to Universal Studios!

The $46 Allegiant flight above from Cleveland to Orlando would cost ~3,066 to ~4,600 points depending on which Chase card you have.

This isn’t a very expensive flight.  I prefer to transfer my Chase Ultimate Rewards points to partners to use for more expensive awards.

But when you’ve got a few spare points that you don’t know what to do with, this can be a good option.

Bottom Line

You can book almost any flight with Chase Ultimate Rewards points through the Chase Ultimate Rewards Travel Portal.  But these 4 airlines won’t show up in your search results:

  • Allegiant Air
  • Gol
  • Norwegian Air
  • Southwest

You will have to search for your flight on the airline’s website.  Or with a search tool like Google Flights.

To book your flight, call the Chase travel center at 866-951-6592.  And give your flight information to the agent.  The Chase Ultimate Rewards points will be automatically deducted from your account.

So i tried looking at google flights. The trip i want is $129 cheaper there. Wrote everything down and called chase. They won’t match it for me. Any other way to get the cheaper price? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t get it that cheap.

I’m looking to book a flight with Allegiant Air through Chase UR. I know that I need to call Chase to book since they do not show up on the search, but I was curious about how they manage the baggage fees. You generally need to purchase your baggage at the time of booking or it is way over priced. Can Chase do that as well or are you able to contact Allegiant to add that after you book with Chase? Ex. at booking fee is $25. After booking it says $45 per bag.

Curious if this also works on hotel brands/locations which are absent from the Chase Rewards booking portal?

I just did the math on it, and I am pretty sure that with Southwest it’s cheaper to just transfer the UR 1:1 and redeem them that way…I priced 2 RT fares that were $159 each person each way…Cash=$635.92 vs transferred points costing a total of 36,484 +$22.40….Cash through the rewards travel portal would be = 635.92/1.5=42,395 pts…Please correct my math if I am wrong…

That’s super cool – I’d heard that might work, glad to get additional corroboration. Do you happen to know whether it’s any airline or just those 4 that it works on? I’m working on a big trip for next year where I’m planning on flying transatlantic on Norwegian and then hopping the Adriatic on Croatia Air, and I’m wondering if I could get that flight with UR, too.

Million Mile Secrets

It doesn’t work for every airline. But you can book both Norwegian Air, and Croatia Air flights through the Chase Travel Portal. You will have to call in to book the Norwegian Air flight. Also, since Croatia Airlines is a Star Alliance member you could book an award seat as long as the award space is available.
Here is a post on how to book Star Alliance awards with Chase Ultimate Rewards points:
