You Could Earn You Bonus Delta Miles by Adding a Friend or Loved One as an Authorized User on Your AMEX Delta Card!

I’ll explain the details of this offer.  And what you should consider before adding authorized users to your AMEX Delta cards!

AMEX Delta Cards Offering Authorized User Bonus

Check your email to see if you’ve been targeted or log-in to your AMEX account to register for this deal from the AMEX Delta Gold card!

With this offer, you can earn a bonus for adding authorized users to your AMEX Delta Gold card by October 20, 2017.

Folks with the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express card could earn:

  • 2,500 bonus Delta miles per authorized user who spends $500 within 3 months, up to a total of 4 bonuses or 10,000 bonus Delta miles total

But don’t forget, American Express requires the Social Security Number of any authorized user you add within 60 days of opening their card.

If you have other AMEX Delta cards, it’s worth checking for targeted offers on those, too.

Considerations to Take When Adding Authorized Users

Be careful when adding an additional cardholder to your account.  Because you’ll be fully responsible for any charges they make, so be sure to only add folks you completely trust.

That said, your authorized user could potentially get a credit score boost if your credit is good.  Plus, being an authorized user doesn’t prevent you from earning the card’s sign-up bonus in the future.

Credit History Makes Up 15% Of Your Score. And You Can Share Your Good Record With a Family Member Who’s Just Getting Started by Adding Them as an Authorized User!

Just remember, authorized user accounts WILL count toward Chase’s “5/24 rule.”  So if the authorized user has opened ~5 or more credit cards (from any bank) in the past 24 months (excluding certain business cards), they’re unlikely to get approved for most Chase cards.

So you’ll have to consider whether your authorized users will apply for Chase cards in the future.  Especially if they’re new to miles and points!

And don’t forget about a similar deal on the AMEX Hilton cards. 😉

Bottom Line

Check your email or log-in to your online AMEX credit card account to see if you’ve been targeted to earn a bonus for adding authorized users to your American Express Delta Gold card!

Some folks with the AMEX Delta Gold card have been targeted to earn up to 10,000 bonus Delta miles after additional authorized users meet a minimum spending requirement.

To earn the bonus miles, you must add any additional cardholder by October 20, 2017.
