Daily Getaways is a 5-week long promotion offered every year by the US Travel Association.  And I let you know about this year’s Daily Getaways promotion a couple of weeks ago.

We’re in the 2nd week of offers, and now we have a preview of what to expect from the last 3 weeks of deals!

This year’s Daily Getaways started a last week, and through May 10, 2017, a new deal will be available on the Daily Getaways website each weekday at 1:00 pm Eastern Time.

Here’s what you can expect for the last 3 weeks of Daily Getaways.

1.   April 24 to 28, 2017

2.   May 1 to 5, 2017

3.   May 8 to 10, 2017

Are These Good Deals?

A couple of these deals could be certainly be worth it!  Especially the discounted Choice, Hilton, and Hyatt hotel points.

For example, you can buy 40,000 Hyatt points for $415 (~1.04 cents per point), and use them for a night at the luxurious Park Hyatt New York.

Daily Getaways 2017

You Can Save a LOT of Cash Buying Discounted Hyatt Points for Free Nights at Otherwise Expensive Hotels Like the Park Hyatt New York

Rooms here cost 30,000 Hyatt points or ~$900+ per night!  So you’d save hundreds of dollars by taking advantage of this Daily Getaways deal.  And have Hyatt points to spare!

Buying cheap Choice hotel points, for example, might also make sense for folks traveling to Europe where Choice hotel nights are pricey but cost a reasonable amount of points.

That said, some of the hotel packages are expensive and for very specific hotels.

If you’re headed to Las Vegas anyways, you might find something helpful from the Las Vegas vacation packages.  And families will appreciate the discounted Universal Orlando vacation packages.

The $1,000 Orbitz hotel promo code for $650 could also be a great deal if you have a specific hotel stay in mind, because you’d save $350!  But the certificate has to be redeemed on one stay, so it won’t make sense for shorter trips.

Note:   Remember to use a credit card that earns bonus points for travel purchases, like the Chase Sapphire Reserve or Citi Prestige.  When you buy deals from Daily Getaways, they code as travel.

Million Mile Secrets team member Jasmin used her Chase Sapphire Preferred last year to earn 2X Chase Ultimate Rewards points for her Daily Getaways purchases.

Bottom Line

We now have a preview of the last 3 weeks of Daily Getaways 2017!

The discounted hotel points are the best deals.  And folks planning a trip to Las Vegas might benefit from the Las Vegas vacation packages.

Do you plan on buying any of the upcoming Daily Getaways deals?

  1. I’ve used my Sapphire Reserve this year, and got travel credit back as well as 3 points per dollar spent.

  2. The Hyatt points look attractive, I’m assuming they would not expire since it sounds like it’s a deposit into your account.

  3. This is a great article. I’ve also saved by using SQM and filling out market research reports. They provide me with 50% off airfare and with up to $50 towards each US bus ticket.

  4. Cynthia Massey

Would like emails on theses deals

  5. Choice sold out within 2 seconds. People have bots doing the bidding.
