  1. I read that LA Times article about UberX and Lyft pickups. It doesn’t actually say September is a sure thing. From the article: “could be available by September”. Depends on how things go. Just a heads up.

  2. With the Starwood promotion unfortunately they only have ~135 hotels worldwide with keyless entry via your smartphone, mostly aloft, element, and W hotel brands. I was targeted with 500 per stay up to 3 times, so perhaps there are different offers out there.

  3. @Li you only have to register your device to receive the 1000 bonus points. You don’t actually have to use it according to the terms of the offer.

  4. Thanks for the heads up about the SPG Keyless promotion – I was targeted, and would have missed it otherwise.

  5. I have considered 3 different times to sign up for SPG Keyless Entry and get the “easy” points but have cancelled each time I reach the User Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. I really don’t know what access I am giving SPG for Keyless Entry. I would hate for them to get access to all my whereabouts just to get a “convenience” that I don’t really need to have. Additionally, the points offered, while extremely easy, are not enough for me to spend time reading the T&C or give them hordes of information about me.

Anybody here looked at the T&C and find anything bothersome? Would like to get some thoughts from others.

  6. I’m not sure if anyone is following this post, but wanted to share that my 1000 Starpoints posted this afternoon.
