  1. If I use my Chase Sapphire to purchase giftcard, will this still be considered travel expenses (and hence the 2x reward points)?

  2. Do these historically really take as long to receive as stated in the details? (10-14 business days).

  3. Will this gift card billed by Marriott? If not, by whom will bill the $800.00 ?

  4. Are these valid on discounted rates? For example a conference or wedding group rate.

  5. I was online half an hour before the time and could not get anything. It says the inventory was on hold for others. It’s frustrating these deals sell out in a matter of seconds! I could not get in on this deal or the Hyatt deal, so this entire daily deals was useless to me.

  6. I got one. Thanks for the info!

  7. Thanks for the heads up! I was able to get 2 of the $500 cards for upcoming stays; had to buy 1 at a time and retry over and over for each one. Took about 10 min to get them both

  8. @Boonie. That’s the problem with these blogs. They inform you of deals but bring the masses to them as well.

  9. Same here. Using high speed internet – ds3. Reloading page until 1PM ET mark, just to get inventory on hold for others. What a waste of time.
