  1. You can only cancel within 24hrs if you book on any website OTHER than AA (Expedia, Orbitz, etc). Since AA offers 24hrs free hold, the won’t let you cancel for free. Just my $0.02.

  2. Do you think this is a good deal for mileage run?

I tried to book in two different qualifying weeks in April, and was quoted +2,800.

May be dead. SAD. I need to go to Rio as well.

I was wrong, I didn’t read Darius’s notes closely enough. However, the AA is ONLY good until midnight tonight (unless extended) and you can do an open jaw, but you do need to go OUT of ATL or one of the two other cities. Hope this helps. Also AA required 21 advance booking, and outbound of Tuex-sat., inboud from sat-wed. (i think). Lastly, they consider 7 nights really 8, as they don’t start counting the days until you arrive there. May get one of these for myself. It’s a great fare and the planes (except through LAX, where you get the most mileage if you are on the east coast) is a 777-ER, the new ones (totalluy, not just reconfigured, and IMHO the best business class seat they offer, AA that is.) I don’t plan on going on Delta for the rest of my life.
