Do you know someone who enjoys Starbucks?  Do you have a Visa card?

Update:  This offer is now OVER!

Via Credit Card Watcher, Starbucks will email your coffee-loving friend a $10 bonus when you send them a Starbucks Card eGift of at least $10.  You have to use a Visa card to buy the Starbucks eGift card.

The promotion closes after 100,000 customers or December 12, 2014, whichever comes first.

10 Bonus When You Send 10 Starbucks Card

Give a $10 Starbucks Card eGift and Your Recipient Gets a $10 Bonus in Their Email

You have to use a Visa card.  And there are a few restrictions.

How to Give the Bonus of Starbucks Brewed Coffee Beans

Link:   Send a Starbucks Card eGift

The 1st 100,000 people to buy and send a Starbucks Card eGift of at least $10 with their Visa card will see the recipient of their gift get an extra $10.

For example, current versions of the Chase Sapphire Preferred card are Visa cards.

The deal ends December 12, 2014, at the latest.

  • Starbucks is requiring you to be generous because you can NOT send yourself the gift!  Just make sure that the recipient and sender have different email addresses.
  • There is a limit of 1 bonus per person.
  • You will NOT see the bonus at check-out but you should see it on your email receipt.

Note: The fine print of the deal says you aren’t guaranteed to receive a bonus.

Bottom Line

You can double the size of your gift when you send someone a Starbucks Card eGift using your Visa card.  That’s because Starbucks will email your recipient a $10 bonus when you send at least $10.

This deal is limited to the 1st 100,000 customers or December 12, 2014, whichever is first.

  1. If you have a spouse and want to gift to each other, make sure to use different Visa cards. I used the same one at first and it didn’t work the second time. I tried again with a different card and it worked. So yeah, I spent $30 for $50 worth of Starbucks. Oh well. Better than nothing.

  2. I bought myself 4 cards with four different Visa credit cards. You have to use a different “from” email address and “to” email address as well. You can send only one card per email address and receive only one. So, I just used my four email addresses I have and got $80 worth of Starbucks for $40.

  3. I used my visa and followed their rules on it. Only received $10. So I’m in the process of getting my extra $10…

  4. This is a great post for Starbucks fans.. thanks Darius!

  5. Got my $10 with $10 bonus. Thank you.

  6. The offer has expired.

  7. The order page says “Visa deal is over”. My recipient only got $10. Over so fast!

  8. The Holiday Starbucks Card eGift promotion with Visa has now expired.

  9. I guess I got lucky and was one of the last of 100,000 people

  10. Wow – I should have read the comments before trying this. Unfortunately I didn’t even get a “this deal is over” message on the site. Oh well, $10 will get spent one way or the other 😉

  11. Thank you!

  12. Thanks Daraius.. I sent one to my wife.. then she sent one back to me.. Free $20 of coffee!
