I’ve been slacking with our trip report to India and Thailand in December, so here’s a quick video of Emily in Lufthansa’s new First Class cabin on a Boeing 747 from Frankfurt to Mumbai.
I wasn’t expecting the new Lufthansa First Class cabin, with a separate bed, on our flight, but recognized it instantly as we made our way to our seat. Emily exclaimed “Oh Wow!” as she saw her own bed, which is the highest level of praise from her and which I love hearing her say. And which totally makes scrounging for those miles and points worthwhile!
As you can tell, your blogger clearly needs to improve his video skills. The bad news is that Lufthansa is no longer releasing First Class award seats until a few weeks before departure, which makes it hard to redeem miles for a Lufthansa flight. You can book a 1 way ticket from the US to Europe on Lufthansa in First Class for 62,500 67,500 United miles or a round trip for 125,000 United or US Air miles (US Air doesn’t allow 1 way awards at half the round trip rate).
Hope you enjoyed the video!
