Update: One or more card offers in this post are no longer available. Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers.I’ve written about saving time at the airport by speeding through security with TSA PreCheck.
Now, via Consequence of Sound, your TSA PreCheck membership can get you into a faster security lane at Live Nation music festivals and concerts, too!
And if you haven’t yet signed-up for TSA PreCheck, Live Nation will have enrollment stations at certain venues and events.
I’ll share the details!
TSA PreCheck Is Not Just for Airports Anymore

When you enroll in TSA PreCheck, you’ll get a Known Traveler Number which you add to your airline reservations. That way, your boarding passes show you’re eligible to enter the faster TSA PreCheck security lane.
At certain Live Nation events, you can use the same Known Traveler Number to bypass long entry lines. Just provide your number and photo ID at the concert’s FastPass gate, and you’ll be able to walk right in! Like TSA PreCheck, you won’t have to remove your laptop or shoes, either.
And if you don’t yet have TSA PreCheck, you’ll be able to sign-up at certain venues. That’s great news for folks who’ve been frustrated by long wait times to get an appointment at traditional enrollment centers. The enrollment fee is $85 and membership is valid for 5 years.
The Fast Pass system has already been used at Washington’s Watershed Festival, and will be in place in Las Vegas at Route 91 Harvest and The Meadows Music and Arts Festival in New York.
Get Your Enrollment Fee Refunded
Remember, certain credit cards will reimburse you once every 5 years for the $85 TSA PreCheck enrollment fee, including:
- Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite™ Mastercard®
- Citi Prestige® Card
- The Platinum Card® from American Express
- The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
And Orbitz platinum members can get a rebate code for the TSA PreCheck enrollment fee.
I usually recommend folks get Global Entry instead, because it nearly guarantees you TSA PreCheck on every flight with a participating airline.
Bottom Line
You can now skip long security lines at certain Live Nation concerts and musical festivals when you have TSA PreCheck.
And if you’re not yet enrolled, there’ll be sign-up stations at some Live Nation events as well! It costs $85 and is good for 5 years.
Remember, certain credit cards will reimburse you for the TSA PreCheck enrollment fee. But for most folks it makes more sense to sign-up for Global Entry instead, because it almost guarantees you’ll get TSA PreCheck on qualifying flights.
Let me know if you’ve used TSA PreCheck to get into concerts faster!
