2.  Earn Up to 85,000 American Airlines Miles

Good news for folks looking for more ways to earn American Airlines miles on the cheap.

Through August 31, 2018, with American Airlines’ latest buy miles promotion, you can earn up to 85,000 bonus American Airlines miles on purchased miles.

Like most of these offers, the more miles you buy, the better the bonus:

• Buy 15,000 to 29,000 miles, get 3,500 bonus miles plus 10% off
• Buy 30,000 to 49,000 miles, get 10,000 bonus miles plus 10% off
• Buy 50,000 to 74,000 miles, get 22,500 bonus miles plus 10% off
• Buy 75,000 to 99,000 miles, get 40,000 bonus miles plus 10% off
• Buy 100,000 to 149,000 miles, get 55,000 bonus miles plus 10% off
• Buy 150,000 miles, get 85,000 bonus miles plus 10% off

So, for example, if you bought 150,000 miles and got an 85,000-mile bonus and 10% off, you’d pay ~$4,316 for a total of 235,000 miles (~1.8 cents per mile).
