Marriott is currently running its global promotion for stays at all properties through November 10. Here’s how the deal works:

Limited time Marriott credit card offers

There are currently some amazing offers on Marriott credit cards, below we’ve listed the welcome bonuses that you can earn after applying and getting approved for a card and meeting minimum spending requirements.

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card is currently offering 125,000 bonus points + 1 free night (valued up to 50,000 points) after you spend $5,000 in the first three months from account opening (total of up to 175,000 bonus points).

The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card has recently launched a new limited-time offer, which can be broken down into three parts:

The Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card has upgraded its welcome offer, too:

Earning Marriott Platinum elite status for a year just by applying for a card is unheard of. Normally you have to stay 50 nights at Marriott properties to earn this top-tier elite status, making this is an amazing deal if you plan on visiting a Marriott next year. As a platinum member, you’ll enjoy perks like free breakfast, increased points earning and priority access to room upgrades (including suites).

How to Earn Marriott Points

The fastest way to earn Marriott points is through a welcome bonus on a Marriott credit card, like:

You can also transfer Chase points and American Express points to Marriott at a 1:1 ratio. Cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and American Express® Gold Card are both great for earning points. However, you’ll likely get better value from both Amex and Chase points when transferring them to airline transfer partners.

Additionally, you can earn Marriott points as a member of the Marriott Bonvoy program when completing paid stays at Marriott properties. You’ll earn points at the following rate:

Stays made at Residence Inn, Towne Place Suites and Element properties will earn points at approximately half the above rate.

Finally, you can earn Mariott points by shopping with Marriott partners like Hetz or by using the Marriott dining program.

How to maximize Marriott promotions

The best way to maximize promotions with Marriott and increase your point earning is by paying for your stay with the right credit card.

All Marriott credit cards will earn 6x Marriott points per dollar spent at Marriott, except the Bonvoy Bold, which earns just 3x points per dollar. Earning 6x points is equivalent to 4.8% back on Marriott purchases. Cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® or American Express® Green Card are both great to pay for (any) hotel stay, since they each 3x Chase or Amex points, respectively, on travel purchases.

The information for the Amex Green Card has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

You’ll also earn bonus points on Marriott stays if you have elite status with Marriott Bonvoy.

To add it all up, by having Marriott elite status, paying with the right credit card and earning the bonus promotional points, you can make off with a nice haul of points after every Marriott stay.
