1.   Earn Up to 5,000 Bonus American Airlines Miles

American Airlines is giving folks a (fun?) way to earn bonus American Airlines miles.

On the promotion page inside your American Airlines account, you’ll see a promo called “AAdvantage® 5K Challenge for 5K miles.”

The more tasks you complete, the more miles you’ll earn:

• 1 Task – 50 bonus American Airlines miles
• 2 Tasks – +200 bonus American Airlines miles
• 3 Tasks – +750 bonus American Airlines miles
• 4 Tasks – +1,500 bonus American Airlines miles
• 5 Tasks – +2,500 bonus American Airlines miles

Complete them all and you’ll have a total of 5,000 bonus American Airlines miles.  The tasks are:

• Make any purchase through the American Airlines shopping portal
• Use the American Airlines dining program to eat at a participating restaurant
• Book and stay at a hotel at bookaahotels.com
• Rent and drive a car from aa.com/cars
• Fly on an American Airlines marketed and operated flight

You must register and complete these tasks by September 30, 2018.

2.   Buy Choice Hotel Points for 30% Off

Through August 10, 2018, you can buy Choice points at up to a 30% discount, depending on how many points you buy:

• 5,000 to 14,000 Choice points – 10% off
• 15,000 to 29,000 Choice points – 15% off
• 30,000 to 39,000 Choice points – 25% off
• 40,000 to 50,000 Choice points – 30% off

Note:   Each member can only buy 50,000 Choice points per year.

Examples of Choice hotel brands are Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Clarion, and EconoLodge.

You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a Choice hotel.  They’re one of the best chains for road warriors or folks who visit family in small towns because you’ll often find them where other hotel chains are not.

Choice hotels are usually pretty cheap around the US, but folks in the miles & points community especially like stocking up on Choice points for their visits to Europe.  For example, Scandinavia is notoriously expensive, and you can often receive amazing value from your Choice hotel points when you visit that area.

3.   Double Points for Radisson Hotel Stays

Through August 31, 2018, you’ll earn double points on all stays of 2+ nights at Radisson hotels.

Radisson hotels include brands like Country Inn & Suites, Park Plaza, and Radisson Blu.  They’re mostly located on the East Coast and in Europe.  So if you find yourself in those areas, it’s a good idea to register for this promotion!
