If you like the sound of round-trip domestic flights for under $50, this deal is for you. If you’re interested in round-trip coach flights to Europe for ~$300 each, this deal is for you. If you want to fly across the Atlantic in a lie-flat Business Class seat for ~$215 one-way, this deal is for you.
This offer ends in 2 days, and other folks are grabbing up the best deals as we speak. Here’s what you need to know!
Iberia Is Having an Incredible Promotion!
Iberia is Spain’s national airline. Collecting Iberia Avios points is handy for folks who live in the US, because it’s a partner with American Airlines. So you can use your points for American Airlines flights!
Iberia has a distance-based award chart, which means the number of points you’ll pay depends on the length of your flight. For example, with Iberia, a round-trip coach award flight within the US costs:
- 11,000 Iberia Avios points for flights under 600 miles
- 12,000 Iberia Avios points for flights between 601 and 1,000 miles
- 17,000 Iberia Avios points for flights between 1,001 and 2,000 miles
- 23,000 Iberia Avios points for flights between 2,001 and 4,000 miles
That’s extremely cheap! And with Iberia’s current promotion, you can “buy” Iberia Avios for as little as ~0.311 cents each! Meaning a round-trip flight under 600 miles would cost you only ~$34, before airport taxes and fees (0.31 cents each X 11,000 Avios points). Here’s how to do it!
What’s the Deal?
When you click this link and purchase a ticket from Iberia by June 24, 2018, you’ll get 9,000 bonus Iberia Avios! The points will be deposited into your account within 10 days of your purchase. You do NOT have to actually fly to get the points.
The promotion allows you to earn up to 90,000 bonus points. So you can buy 10 one-way flights and earn 90,000 Iberia Avios points! That’s more than enough for 2 round-trip coach flights between the US and Europe. Or 1 round-trip Business Class flight between the US and Europe!
The trick is finding the CHEAPEST IBERIA TICKETS. It doesn’t matter where they originate or where they’re going, because you don’t need to fly them. The cheapest I see at the moment are one-way flights from Santander (SDR) to Madrid (MAD), any time in March 2019. You’ll pay $28 per flight, and earn 9,000 Iberia Avios points. Which means you’re paying ~0.31 cents per point ($28 per flight / 9,000 points).
We’ve occasionally seen $19 flights pop up, but I’m not finding any at the moment.
If you book a one-way Business Class flight to Europe on Iberia, you’ll pay 34,000 Iberia Avios and ~$98 in fees. That comes out to ~$215 after taxes & fees (0.31 cents per point X 34,000 + $98 in taxes & fees)!
I bought 10 one-ways with this deal and spent ~$270. I should earn enough points for 8 round-trip flights to Chicago from my home airport. That’s INSANE.
There are a few terms & conditions you should know:
- You must purchase your flights before June 24, 2018
- You can earn a maximum of 90,000 bonus Avios per member
- Flights you purchase must be operated by Iberia, Iberia Express or Air Nostrum
- If you request a refund, the promotional Avios will be withdrawn from their account
- You must redeem your bonus Avios by December 1, 2018, or they will be withdrawn from your account
That last term is a big one. If you don’t use your bonus Avios by December 1, 2018, you lose them. However, it sounds like you only need to book future travel by December 1, not actually take the flight.
Note: This deal isn’t for everyone. Especially if American Airlines doesn’t service your home airport!
You can buy Iberia Avios points for as little as 0.31 cents each! That’s AMAZING, because you can get MUCH more value from them than that.
For example, a lie-flat Business Class seat from Chicago to Madrid costs just 34,000 Iberia Avios points and $98 in fees! That would cost you $2,000+ otherwise!
Let me know if you pull the trigger!
