Earning 500 miles from spending $200 comes out to 2.5 miles per $1 spent. This is a decent bonus, that is worth taking advantage of if you fly Alaska Airlines often. And Alaska Airlines miles can be very valuable, especially for booking award flights with their partners like Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines.
There are even a few shops that have higher than average earning rates. Here are a few of them:
- Michael Kors: Normally 1 mile per $1, now earn 4 miles per $1
- Macy’s: Normally 2 miles per $1, now earn 4 miles per $1
- Levi’s: Normally 2 miles per $1, now earn 4 miles per $1
- Coach: Normally earn 1 mile per $1, now earn 7 miles per $1
- Toms Shoes: Normally earn 1 mile per $1, now earn 5 miles per $1
Combine these increased rates with the flat bonus of 500 miles on orders of $200+ and you can walk away with a ton of miles toward free flights. Award flights on Alaska Airlines start at just 5,000 miles each way, which means a single $200 purchase could get you over halfway toward a free flight depending on which store you shop at.
For example, right now you’ll earn 14 Alaska Airlines miles per $1 spent at 123inkjets.com, so if you spent $200 at that store you earn 3,300 Alaska Airlines miles ($200 in purchases X 14 Alaska Airlines miles + 500 mile bonus). That’s not a bad haul just for stocking up on printer ink.
