For example, you can fly in coach between San Francisco and Berlin anytime between April 24, 2017, and May 31, 2017, for 15,000 Air Berlin miles one-way. That same ticket would normally cost 25,000 Air Berlin miles. Saving you 10,000 miles each way!

Through March 19, 2017, you can book certain Air Berlin award tickets at a discount! Here’s the link for a complete list of sale routes. They’re offering some pretty awesome deals!
The sale price depends on the route and travel dates.
For example, you can fly from Chicago to Berlin in coach for 30,000 Air Berlin miles round-trip between April 24, 2017, and May 31, 2017. That same ticket would normally cost 50,000 Air Berlin miles!
Air Berlin also doesn’t add huge fuel surcharges. So this could be a terrific way to get to Europe for cheap.
In comparison, United Airlines charges 60,000 United Airlines miles for round-trip coach tickets from the US to Europe. And American Airlines charges 45,000 to 60,000 American Airlines miles for flights to Europe from the US, depending on the season.
With this sale from Air Berlin, you can fly from US cities like Los Angeles, Miami, New York (JFK), Chicago, and Boston, to both Berlin and Dusseldorf, Germany, for less.
They’re also offering discounts on flights within Europe. So you could fly from the US to Germany, then explore the rest of Europe from there.
From Dusseldorf, Germany, for example, you can fly to Vienna or Rome for only 2,500 Air Berlin miles one-way. Instead of the usual 10,000 Air Berlin miles one-way!
Plus, Air Berlin is a Starwood transfer partner. And when you transfer at least 20,000 Starwood points to certain airlines (like Air Berlin!), you’ll get a 5,000 mile bonus.
If you transferred 25,000 Starwood points to Air Berlin, you’d get 30,000 Air Berlin miles (25,000 points + 5,000 mile transfer bonus). That’s enough for a round-trip ticket to Europe with this sale!
