There’s a new bus service in the US called Flixbus!  The company’s inaugural route in the US goes from Santa Monica to Las Vegas for as little as $10 each way.  Yes, you read that right, only $20 round-trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.  The new company looks to have a similar model to MegaBus and BoltBus.

Some travelers might prefer taking a bus because once you take into consideration potential airline delays, you could get to your destination in the same amount as time as flying.  But, for some, flying might make more sense if you’re able to find cheap fares with airlines, like Southwest.

And for savvy folks with travel rewards credit cards, you can use straightforward miles, like Capital One® Venture® Rewards Credit Card miles, to offset the cost of bus trips completely!

Here’s Team Member Keith in Front of the Flixbus, Which Departs From Santa Monica and Arrives in Las Vegas in Less Than 5 Hours

Flixbus was founded in Germany and is popular in Europe.  It’s now made its way to the US.

Flixbus picks up passengers from the beginning of the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica and travels straight to Las Vegas.  The direct route from Los Angeles to Las Vegas only takes 4 hours and 50 minutes.  And, the best part is you won’t be paying more than $15 each way, which is the cost of the most expensive ticket.

If you don’t live in the Los Angeles area, you can still use Flixbus to travel to other destinations, including San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose, and Sacramento.  Some tickets even cost less than $3!  The hope is this service will help to reduce traffic and congestion in cities.

Flixbus is not only convenient in their route choices but with their amenities.  Every bus has power outlets at each seat, Wi-Fi, onboard entertainment, including movies, games, TV shows, video games, and even audio books.

You can check out the Flixbus routes and prices here and use their interactive bus map to plan your trip.
