Readers often ask about booking all-inclusive hotels with points.  Well, you can stay at Hyatt’s all-inclusive hotels, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and Hyatt Zilara Cancun with Hyatt points.  I only wished they had not named the hotels with such similar (at least to me!) names.

An all-inclusive hotel includes your food, drinks, entertainment, gratuities, and room in the price.  I’ve never been to an all-inclusive resort as yet!

How to Earn Hyatt Points

If you’re low on points, here’s how you can earn lots of Hyatt points.

1.   Hyatt Credit Card

You get 2 free nights at any Hyatt hotel after you spend $1,000 on the Hyatt credit card.

You can use these free nights at ANY Hyatt hotel in the world including Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and Hyatt Zilara Cancun.

You have to call Hyatt to book the free nights.  You can book a room if the hotel has standard rooms available for booking at Hyatt.com.  You can check online before calling Hyatt.

2.   Chase Ultimate Rewards Points

You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards Points at a 1:1 ratio from the Chase Sapphire Preferred, (no longer offered) Chase Ink Bold & Ink Plus to Hyatt hotels.

You can also transfer your Ultimate Rewards points from the Chase Freedom to the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Ink Bold or Ink Plus.  Then transfer the points to Hyatt hotel points.

It costs 20,000 Hyatt points for 1 night at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and 25,000 points for 1 night at the Hyatt Zilara Cancun because they are all-inclusive hotels.

To book a room with points at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and Hyatt Zilara Cancun you have to call Hyatt at 800-228-3360.

Bottom Line

With the two complimentary nights, how many people can you have in the room at the Cabos resort?

The Correct answer is it depends what rooms types are available, you could get a room for up to 4 people if available, but even if there’s only one bed available in the room you can always get a rollaway bed that sleeps one more. according to Hyatt Reservations 1-8885911234

So if a couple wanted to do this for a 6-day trip in Cancun, would the following work?:

Each apply for Chase Hyatt card = 4 free nights

Each apply for Chase Saffire Preferred (use 25k points each) = 2 free nights

Do you get standard room only with the 2 nights certificate? If so, if you want a Swim up suite for example, then you have to pay with points or cash right?

Thank you!

Can we combine the 2 2 nights awards between a couple to have a four day stay?

@christina – You sure can!

Thanks for the post. I’m thinking about opening a Hyatt card.

Are there other all-inclusive hotels/resorts that the free nights can be used for? And how could I find them? The only references I’ve seen to booking all inclusive with rewards points are for this specific deal.
