Here’s What Steve Harvey Gets Wrong About First Class

I’m a huge Steve Harvey fan!  My parents were actually on Family Feud about 15 years ago with the previous host, Richard Karn.  My wife and I now avidly watch Family Feud.

Steve Harvey’s stories about life, faith, struggle, and other inspirational messages have resonated with me.  My favorite message of his is that in order to be successful in anything you want to do, you have to jump and take a leap of faith.

Recently, he had a short message about exposing yourself to greater things in life to achieve your full potential.  Within this, he made an analogy about flying First Class.  If you’ve been dreaming of treating yourself to First Class, it’s possible for anyone with rewards earned from the best travel credit cards!

Take a look at the ~4 minute video below.

However, he is wrong about the gray hair part.  I’ve been able to fly First Class several times thanks to miles and points, and I don’t have gray hair (yet)!  Being successful does allow for more First Class flying (I once flew next to Jamie Foxx on Delta First Class!).  However, miles & points are available to almost anyone and can allow you to fly luxuriously!

His point about paying for the upgrade one time I believe has a large significance.  Every traveler should experience First Class at least once in their life, regardless if it is paid or through frequent flyer miles.

The conditioning he speaks about is absolutely true.  Ever since I started flying in premium seats because of miles & points, I am always thinking of a First Class experience.  I recently scored 2 Business Class seats for ~$100, and it has now become a standard for me.  And when I do fly in coach, it is hard to walk by those bigger seats.

For those that enjoy motivational and inspirational videos, I highly recommend listening to Steve Harvey.  He was homeless in his early 30’s and now has grown into a household name.  Steve has great messages for those needing guidance.
