Scott: I love a great deal for stuff I need to buy anyway! So back when there was a deal at Target.com to get $20 off $100 purchases (yes, we wrote about it!) I went in on it twice to stock up on my favorite toilet paper.
I live alone in a small apartment with limited storage space. So I’m currently using the rolls as a mattress. Just kidding, but I did temporarily use a stack of packages as an end table.
Whenever I travel to Europe, I’m sure to bring 2 things: my Chase Sapphire Preferred card and my Charmin Ultra. Because I’ve yet to find my favorite toilet tissue over there. Apparently, the European populace hasn’t yet developed an appreciation for being kind to their behind.
There Are Levels to This
Now that you know way too much about me, I’ll also say, being a Million Mile Secret Agent, I obviously saved more than just $40. I stacked the deal by purchasing through an online portal. (That’s one of our easiest insider tips to earn more miles!)
This time around, it was the Discover portal. And if I recall correctly, Discover it was awarding an additional 5% cash back for Target purchases during that time.
I like the Discover Deals portal, and it works well with your Discover it® Miles.
The information for the Discover it Miles card has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
Note: These Discover cards don’t charge foreign transaction fees, which is great. But I use my Chase Sapphire Preferred Card a lot more in Europe, because Discover just isn’t accepted by enough merchants.
Shameless plug: Check Million Mile Secrets frequently so you don’t miss out on the next deal like this!
Now It’s Your Turn to Share
So now that I’ve embarrassed myself by admitting how my love of a deal transcends what most practical people would do… please make me feel better by commenting a slightly crazy or fun thing you’ve done to get a bunch of miles, points, or cash back.
