If you’ve ever booked a flight and wondered if Wi-Fi and other amenities would be available on your plane, Routehappy can help!

Find out how this app can help you travel in comfort!
How Does RouteHappy Work?
Link: Routehappy
With Routehappy you can compare the comfort level of different flights based on features such as:
- Legroom
- In-Flight Entertainment
- Wi-Fi
- Power Outlets
You can’t see this information when searching for flights on airline sites such as United Airlines.

There are 2 ways you can search with Routehappy.

Or if you’ve already booked a flight or have 1 in mind, just select the “Find your flight” tab.

You will then get a list of amenities available on your flight.

You’ll also see their “happiness scores.”

According to their website, Routehappy scores are based on aircraft, seat, amenities, trip duration, and ratings.
However, there are no details on the exact algorithm they use to come up with these scores. And happiness is very subjective. So I would take these scores with a grain of salt.
Here’s a cute video from Routehappy that explains how the site works:
Is This a Useful Tool?
Personally, when I book a paid flight, the major factors I look at are the price and miles I’ll earn. But all else being equal (or close to), it’s nice to know which flight will provide the most comfort!

This could also be a great tool for folks who pay for expensive Business and First Class flights. If you’re paying the money, you might as well make sure you’re getting a flight with comfortable seats!
And if you’re tall or have back pain, Routehappy could be the difference between a painful or relaxing flight in coach with extra legroom!
However, there are NO guarantees your flight will include the amenities described on Routehappy. That’s because sometimes there are last-minute equipment changes or fleet adjustments.
Google Flights Has Teamed Up With Routehappy!
The good news is you can now get most of Routehappy’s data when you use Google Flights. I love it when I can get everything done on 1 site!
But when you do a search your results will only list whether or not a flight has Wi-Fi.

So there’s no ability to do an easy side-by-side comparison. You’ll have to select a flight to get more information and then hit the back button to view another.

That said, this is a new partnership and I hope that Google Flights continues to improve the functionality of this new feature!
Bottom Line
Routehappy lets you compare in-flight features to find the most comfortable ride. With this site you can find out how much legroom you’ll have and whether or not there’s Wi-Fi, in-seat entertainment, and power outlets.
Plus, you can now find this information on Google Flights too!
While these features aren’t my 1st priority when booking a flight, for some folks it is! And if the price and miles are the same, I want the more cozy ride!
As it becomes easier for passengers to compare airline amenities, I hope it will create more competition to give us an enjoyable in-flight experience!
For paid flights, do factors such as legroom, Wi-Fi, and entertainment choices influence your choice of airline at all?
