You’ve got options when it comes to food delivery services like Postmates, Grubhub and DoorDash. And there are a number of different credit cards that earn a bonus for those deliveries: Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, American Express® Gold Card or Wells Fargo Propel American Express® card.

The Wells Fargo Propel card is no longer available for new applicants.

The information for the Wells Fargo Propel has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

But Chase cardholders may find the DoorDash DashPass offer too good to overlook. If you order food for delivery often, this deal could save you hundreds of dollars every year. And if you happen to have the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, you can pair this discount with the yearly DoorDash credit that comes with your Reserve card, for even more savings.

Here’s what you need to know about the DoorDash DashPass and how to take advantage of this offer. Including information about an additional limited-time offer on select food delivery services for Chase cardholders.

What are the Chase DoorDash benefits?

Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred cardholders will get up to two complimentary years of DashPass, while other cardholders, like those with the Chase Freedom Flex℠ and Chase Freedom Unlimited®, get a complimentary three-month membership and 50% off the following months.

DashPass normally costs $9.99 per month. It provides customers with lower service fees and free delivery on all orders of $12+, saving members $4 to $5 off every order.

It’s easy to see how this could translate into serious savings if you order food with some regularity.

Which Chase cards include the Doordash benefits?

In partnership with DoorDash, Chase offers select cardholders discounts on DashPass, which is the DoorDash unlimited delivery program. Many of the top Chase cards qualify for the deal:

  • Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve®
  • Chase Freedom Unlimited®
  • Chase Freedom Flex℠
  • Chase Freedom (no longer available to new applicants)

Those with the Chase Sapphire Reserve can take advantage of the DoorDash statement credit of up to $60 through the end of 2021.

How do I sign up and use the Doordash benefits?

To activate the offer, visit the DoorDash website or download the DoorDash app. You’ll be able to register for the deal by adding your eligible Chase card to the DoorDash app and clicking to activate the offer any time before Dec. 31, 2021. Remember, your DashPass subscription will renew at the full $9.99 monthly price after the offer runs out, so be sure to set a reminder in case you want to cancel.

Bottom line

If you’re a Chase cardholder, be sure to check whether or not your card qualifies for DoorDash benefits. Activating this perk will help you save money on DoorDash orders, with cards like Chase Sapphire Reserve offering a statement credit of up to $60 through the end of 2021!

I’ve already used up my Sapphire Reserve’s DoorDash credit this year. And while the Indian food I ordered was great, the fact that it was free made it even more delicious!
