That’s because it comes with a better bonus than ever before, which means you’ll get bigger travel than ever before! One question I hear a lot is about when the Barclaycard Arrival Plus welcome bonus will post to your account.
I’ll tell you when the Barclaycard Arrival Plus sign-up bonus will post. And show you why the time of posting is not as important as you might think.
Barclaycard Arrival Plus Bonus Posting

Right now, The Barclaycard Arrival Plus comes with a 50,000 Barclaycard Arrival miles after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of opening your account. That’s worth $500 towards travel expenses.
Different Banks Handle Credit Card Sign-Up Bonus Delivery Differently
Some banks will deliver the bonus after the transaction that completes your minimum spending requirement posts. Others will wait until after the statement closes in which you’ve completed your minimum spending.
Barclaycard uses both of these methods, depending on which card you have.
For cards owned by Barclaycard, like the Barclaycard Arrival Plus, the bonus will post after you’ve completed your minimum spending requirement.
But for co-branded cards, like the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards, your rewards will post after your statement in which you’ve completed minimum spending closes.
A Great Last-Minute Credit Card Application
It’s great that Barclaycard is so prompt about delivering the Arrival Plus sign-up bonus. That said, the time frame of the Barclaycard Arrival Plus bonus posting is mostly irrelevant.
Here’s why:
With most cards, like the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite™ Mastercard®, or the Premier Rewards Gold Card from American Express, you must complete minimum spending requirements on your credit card and receive the sign-up bonus before you book your travel if you want to use your miles & points towards reducing your travel costs. The information for the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select card has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
But with the Barclaycard Arrival Plus, you can use the sign-up bonus for purchases you make from the very first day you have the card, long before you receive the sign-up bonus!
That’s because with the Barclaycard Arrival Plus, you can redeem miles for travel related purchases up to 120 days after they post to your account. This means you can purchase your travel immediately upon receiving your card, and reimburse the cost later, after you complete the minimum spending and receive your bonus miles.
The Barclaycard Arrival Plus is a good card to get if you want to use travel rewards for a trip, but are leaving before you have the opportunity to earn the sign-up bonus.
Bottom Line on Barclaycard Arrival Plus Bonus Posting
When you open the Barclaycard Arrival Plus, you’ll earn 50,000 Barclaycard Arrival miles after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 90 days of opening your account.
Your bonus will post after you’ve completed your minimum spending requirement. But that’s NOT the case for all Barclaycards. With co-branded cards like the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards, your sign-up bonus will post after the statement in which you’ve met the minimum spending requirement closes.
