Here’s what some of our readers have to say:

“My wife and I now have over 1.1 million miles. On top of this, we’ve burned through another 1 million miles visiting places over the past 5 years.  Some of these places include:

Jordan, Egypt, United Kingdom, Belgium, Mexico, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Finland, Czech Republic, Austria, France, Italy and many US cities!  I have literally gotten to the million mile mark with your help”. Mike

“Hi Daraius, I have been a loyal follower for a few years and have recommended your website to many family and friends.

I just completed a 19 day First Class trip on United Airlines through Europe and stayed at 17 hotels all for free on points for our 20th wedding anniversary.  Total trip worth $37,675 for the price of $638.70 for two.  Thank you Million Mile Secrets!!” Jeff

“I just wanted to take a moment to thank you personally.  You have changed parts of my life.  We don’t take a lot of exotic vacations like many here do.  BUT, because of THIS blog, I’ve been able to travel with my family of 4, to visit the rest of our family.

My biggest fear was that my children would grow up and their own grandparents would be strangers to them, but because of you we all have very strong bonds.  Thank you so much Daraius and Emily!” Kimberly

“Dear Daraius, You are the MAN!!!  Thanks to you, since I first started reading your blog, between my wife and I we have amassed almost 2 millions miles and points between various programs.

And interestingly my credit score actually went up during that span.” Robert

Hi Darius –

Today only: 50 percent off flights. Use promo code 50PCT at Spirit.com.

Spirit Airlines christened its 100th plane this week, adding more yellow aircraft to its Fit Fleet. Spirit’s new AirBus A321 took flight Tuesday as the airline’s 100th aircraft, joining the youngest, most fuel-efficient fleet in the U.S.

More than 600 passengers traveled on the 100th plane Tuesday and enjoyed inflight concerts with a surprise $100 future flight credits. View the video (https://vimeo.com/218701063) of the celebration and customer reactions.

Spirit will be celebrating its 100th plane with deals all week long. Today, customers can receive 50% off flights by entering promo code 50PCT (exclusions apply). To check out the other crazy low fares and discounts, head to spirit.com and start planning your next vacation now.

Thanks for your consideration.

Kara

Hi,

Hayden Field here, reporter for Jean Chatzky, financial editor of NBC’s TODAY show — hope you’re having a great week. We’re researching app stacking (combining deals to save the most money and earn the greatest rewards, like shopping portals (e.g., Ebates, credit card bonuses, frequent flyer miles, etc.) and thought you would be a great source. Could we set up a phone call for today or tomorrow to discuss, at my attached email address?

Thanks so much.

Your blog was one of the first to get me into the miles/points game. I’m now a freelance writer and would like to interview one or both of you and feature the site as the focus of an article. Contact me at the email here, or DM on Twitter @is_lou

Hi Daraius,

I have a great readers success story to share on my recent trip to Japan on points which saved me thousands of dollars. Would love to get it featured on your site! I am also working on a travel website startup and would love your help in promoting it! Please check out my landing page at http://www.cheaptravelbug.com

Thanks!

Regards,

David

Hi Million mile secrets,

Love your guys’ work. Wanted to bring up a topic in which has hit a lot of people and maybe bring awareness through your site so others do not get fraudulently taken by this company.

Cardcash is a company that sells gifts cards, including many for travel purposes. I purchased hyatt gift cards that they had at about a 25% discount on the site, hoping to use it on a future trip. I purchased $2500 worth and waited for my next trip. They came to me via email at $500 each.

My next trip came about and i went to use them and i had a balance of 0 on three of them. In shock, i contacted the company and soon got a cold shoulder. Because it was after their “45 day” return policy, i was shit out of luck. I tried multiple times to ask them to refund me, including asking american express spg to file a claim, to no avail.

I have evidence of their email correspondences, and they told me in one of them that with amy gift card purchases, there is a “risk vs reward” aspect of it. Because i was saving money on the purchase, there was a risk in purchasing these gift cards.

I believe your readers should be aware so they dont go through the same path as i did. I am now in my third claim with amex, and havent been refunded any of the money and not gotten to use what i thought i had purchased. I am not alone. I have two friends that have gone through the same thing, and i am pretty sure this has happened to more people.

Thank you for listening and would love for you guys to make this aware to more and more people that wanna travel and not be scammed.

Sean Tao
