Some folks are receiving an email offering a $15 statement credit just for adding an authorized user to their card! Here’s what you need to know.
$15 for Adding Authorized User to Barclays Credit Cards
There are plenty of great reasons to add an authorized user to your card even without a bonus. Including to help your kids get a head start on their credit history!
Here’s another great reason for lucky targeted folks. If you’re targeted for this offer and you add an authorized user to your Barclays credit card by December 31, 2018, you’ll get a $15 statement credit! Here are a few important bullets:
- Limit one $15 bonus per account
- Offer is not transferable
- An authorized user may see your account show up on their credit report
- You can NOT close or product change your credit card during the promo period
- Bonus will credit to your account within 8 weeks of the promotion end date
Just note that when you add an authorized user, you are responsible for paying the bill, not them. So don’t add an authorized user unless you trust them implicitly! And sometimes being an authorized user will count toward your Chase 5/24 limit, although you might be able to call and get Chase disregard the authorized user accounts.
I don’t personally see this for any of my Barclays cards, but lots of folks are seeing it on the Barclaycard Arrival Plus. Hopefully you’re luckier than me. Let us know if you’re one of the folks targeted, and which card the offer is for!
