Via One Mile at a TimeAir France and KLM have released the latest Flying Blue Promo Awards!  And you can buy discounted Business Class award flights to Europe for travel between December 1, 2017, and January 31, 2017.

Each month, Air France and KLM release discounted award tickets on certain routes, including flights between North America and Europe.  This month, there are lots of Canadian cities on this list, plus New York (JFK).  So if you’re near the Canadian border, it could be worth the trip to save miles!

Through October 31, 2017, you can save 25% on award flights to Europe.  For travel between December 1, 2017, and January 31, 2017, from:

  • New York (JFK) to Paris Orly only – 46,875 miles one-way in Business Class (10,625 miles less than United Airlines)
  • Calgary – 46,875 miles one-way in Business Class
  • Edmonton – 46,875 miles one-way in Business Class
  • Toronto – 46,875 miles one-way in Business Class
  • Vancouver – 46,875 miles one-way in Business Class

Flying Blue considers countries like Israel and Morocco to be part of Europe.  So you can save even MORE miles compared to other airlines if you’re headed to those areas.

And these prices are over ~10,000 miles LESS than what you’d pay flying to Europe on United Airlines or Delta!

Plus, even if you’ve never flown Air France or KLM, you may have points that transfer to the program without realizing it!  Because the 4 major flexible points programs transfer to Flying Blue at a ratio of 1:1.

Bottom Line

You can now book Flying Blue Promo Awards to Europe from 5 North American cities – New York (JFK), Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, and Vancouver.

These awards cost fewer miles than you’d pay for similar flights on Delta or United Airlines.  But taxes & fees can also add up.  So do the math to decide if the award discount is worth the extra cash.

Let me know if you book a Promo Award!
