This Airline Card’s Increased Sign-Up Bonus Will Survive, While the Others Drop Next Week

I let y’all know that the increased bonuses on the Chase Southwest personal credit cards are ending October 4, 2017.  But via Go to Travel Gal, there is no end in sight for the 60,000-point offer on the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card!

So if you plan to earn the best deal in travel, the Southwest Companion Pass, with the Chase Southwest cards, it’s more urgent to apply for a personal card first!

We have confirmed with Chase that the increased 60,000 point sign-up bonus on the Chase Southwest Premier Small Business Card will NOT expire on October 4, 2017.  Even though the better sign-up bonuses on the 2 Chase Southwest personal cards, are.

Big sign-up bonuses are always a good thing, so this is great news!  And it will help those of you who are planning to earn the Southwest Companion Pass.  Which I consider to be THE best deal in travel.

The easiest way to earn the Southwest Companion Pass for 2018 is to apply for 2 Chase Southwest cards.

While Chase will generally NOT approve you for 2 cards within 30 days, some readers have had success applying for 2 cards within the SAME day, before Chase is notified of the other application.  Or by applying for 1 business and 1 personal card.

That said, some folks are uneasy about applying for multiple cards on the same day (especially from the same issuer!).  So If you’re aiming for the Southwest Companion Pass, you can open a personal card this week before the bonuses decrease.  Then apply for the small business version later down the road!

Bottom Line

While the Chase Southwest Plus and Chase Southwest Premier 60,000 point bonuses are disappearing on October 4, 2017, the 60,000 point Chase Southwest Premier Small Business Card bonus will live on!

We don’t know when (or if!) this bonus will decrease, but we’ve confirmed with Chase that it will be available for longer than the others.
