Back in February I told you about an promotion offering 3X Delta miles for Airbnb stays.  And now it’s back!

You normally earn 1 Delta mile per $1 when you book Airbnb stays through Delta’s Airbnb page.  But if you book by October 31, 2017, you’ll receive 3 Delta miles per $1!

Here are the details:

  • Begin your reservation through Delta’s Airbnb site
  • Input your Delta information
  • You must book and complete your stay by October 31, 2017

Plus, if you’re new to Airbnb, you’ll earn 2,000 bonus Delta miles for your first stay when you spend at least $150 (before taxes and fees).  And a $25 credit for your first booking of $75 or more.

Who Should Take Advantage of This Deal?

Anyone planning an Airbnb stay should consider this deal!  That said, there are some incredible hotel promotions going on right now, like:

I really enjoy staying through Airbnb.  That’s because it often gives me a more local and authentic feel for the area.  And you can find amazing places to stay, often for the same or less than a regular hotel room.

Note:   Make sure you’re always getting the biggest return for your money by stacking deals!  For example, you can buy Airbnb gift cards through the United MileagePlus app and earn 2 United Airlines miles per $1 spent on top of the regular points or cash back you’ll earn with your credit card.  Then use those gift cards to reserve your room with this Delta promotion.

There are plenty of other ways to earn Delta miles, too!  That’s because several AMEX credit cards earn Delta miles, or points that you can transfer to Delta!

For example, you can transfer AMEX Membership Rewards points to Delta at a ratio of 1:1, though you’ll pay an excise fee of 0.06 cents per point (up to a maximum of $99).  And you can transfer Starwood points to Delta at a ratio of 1:1.  Plus, when you transfer in increments of 20,000 Starwood points, you’ll get a bonus 5,000 Delta miles!

Bottom Line

You can earn 3X Delta miles when you book an Airbnb reservation by October 31, 2017, and complete your stay by the same date.  And folks new to Airbnb can get a $25 credit and up to 2,000 bonus Delta miles for their first stay!

Because of all the great hotel promotions right now, it might not be worth switching hotel stays to Airbnb for this promotion.  But if you have upcoming Airbnb stays anyway, this deal is a no-brainer!

Will you be taking advantage of this Delta Airbnb promotion?
