Update:   The card offer in this post is no longer available.  Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers.

Via Slickdeals, there’s a better offer available for the Citi ThankYou Premier card!

You’ll earn 60,000 Citi ThankYou points when you spend $3,500 on purchases within the 1st 3 months of opening your account.

Usually, the offer is 50,000 Citi ThankYou points after meeting a slightly lower ($3,000) minimum spending requirement.  So this deal gets you an extra 10,000 Citi ThankYou points!

Emily and I don’t earn a commission from this offer, but we always share the best deals with our readers!

Citi May Honor the Higher Bonus If You Recently Applied for the Card. It’s Worth a Call!

Emily’s friend called this morning and was bumped to the 60,000 point offer.  She’d applied for the card in July, but hasn’t received the sign-up bonus yet.

It can’t hurt to try!

Bottom Line

There’s a better offer available for the Citi ThankYou Premier card.  You’ll earn 60,000 Citi ThankYou points after you spend $3,500 on purchases in the 1st 3 months of opening your account.

That’s 10,000 points more than the regular offer.  But the minimum spending requirement is slightly higher.

Citi ThankYou points can be transferred to airline and hotel partners for Big Travel!  Or used for gift cards or to book airfare, hotels, cruises, or car rentals through the Citi ThankYou Travel Center.

We don’t earn a commission for this card, but Emily and I will always tell you about better deals!

If you recently applied for the lower offer, it’s worth calling Citi to see if they’ll match you to the higher bonus.

Let me know if you’re successful!

Was approved for the Citi Prestige card/50K on Aug 26th, and called Citi on Aug 29th to match after seeing the link was still up. The agent was positive I would be matched since I was Citi Gold, but nonetheless could not guarantee it but was 99% sure they would accommodate me under the circumstances. This was a request only that was submitted over the phone, and she assured me that the decision would come to me via USPS Mail within 10 business days. I actually received the letter 2 days ago and it was a big NO, saying that I "was not solicited for the 60K offer". I just had the opportunity to call Citi today to re-hash everything that had happened up to this point and spoke to a very nice Citi rep. She asked me where I saw the offer and I told her "online but obviously the link has been taken down so I can no longer give it to you". I expressed my disappointment since I was a "valued" Citi Gold client. Once I realized she could not do anything further for me, I asked to be transferred to a retention representative. She informed me that the only way she could transfer me to retention was if I wanted to cancel the card. She asked" Do you want to cancel the card?" I thought quickly, "what the heck", so I said "Yes, transfer me!" I was put on hold for at least 10 minutes. While on hold, I thought to myself I really don't want to cancel so what do I do if they come back on the line and say they have already cancelled the card? Yikes!?!?! Anyway, an agent finally came back on the line, and much to my surprise it was the same rep! Ultimately they decided in my favor, so I couldn't be happier. I don't think I would recommend this step to anyone that was not a Citi Gold member who has not already requested the 60K on or around the end of August, but for me it worked! As usual, it pays to be a follower on MMS and in this instance it didn't hurt either for me to be a Citi Gold member!

That offer expired super quick. Planned on getting when I returned from our cruise today & seeing it now expired is a major bummer.

Thank you MMS for the link to the 60K offer! Many other bloggers are not offering the link. Kudos to you! Got instant approval today.

I got the premiere card last month and completed the $3000 min spend. I havent received the points yet so I called citi to find out if I can be eligible for the offer. The rep said I wasnt and gave me 1000 points. I then sent a message to citi asking for my account to be considered for this offer and I got a reply saying my account is now enrolled for this offer.

Signed up for the 50k offer about a month ago. Yesterday I emailed them to try to get 60k offer, didn't succeed. I may try calling
