Many, but not all, of the offers and clickable hyperlinks (such as a “Next” button) that appear on this site are from companies that compensate us. The compensation we receive and other factors, such as your location, may impact what ads and links appear on our site, and how, where, and in what order ads and links appear. While we strive to provide a wide range of offers, our site does not include information about every product or service that may be available to you. We strive to keep our information accurate and up-to-date, but some information may not be current. So, your actual offer terms from an advertiser may be different than the offer terms on this site. Many, but not all, of the offers and clickable hyperlinks (such as a “Apply Now” button or “Learn More” button) that appear on this site are from companies that compensate us. When you click on that hyperlink or button, you may be directed to the credit card issuer’s website where you can review the terms and conditions for your selected offer. Each advertiser is responsible for the accuracy and availability of its ad offer details, but we attempt to verify those offer details. We have partnerships with advertisers such as Brex, Capital One, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo and Discover. We also include editorial content to educate consumers about financial products and services. Some of that content may also contain ads, including links to advertisers’ sites, and we may be paid on those ads or links.

Plenti is a new free loyalty program from American Express that lets you earn points at participating shops:

when you pay with cash, debit, or credit card.  And you do NOT have to use an American Express card!

Note:   The program is new, so full details aren’t available.  And you can’t sign-up yet, but I’ll let you know when you can!

How Plenti Will Work

You’ll earn Plenti points shopping at partners (in-store and online).  And you can earn more Plenti points from special promotions, the Plenti online offer center, and the Plenti online mall.

View From the Wing reports you can earn:

Plenti points can be redeemed for 1 cent each ($2 minimum redemption) at other shops.  So 1,000 Plenti points gets you $10 to spend.

For example, you can use the Plenti points you earn getting gas to buy clothes at Macy’s.

Double-Dip

You can use any form of payment to earn Plenti points.  So there are lots of double-dip opportunities.

For example, you can pay your AT&T bills with your Chase Ink Bold, Chase Ink Business Cash Credit Card, or Chase Ink Plus card and earn Plenti points.  AND you’ll get the usual 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points you get when paying for cellular phone services.

Or you can fill your tank at US Exxon or Mobil stations and earn Plenti points and 3% cash back when you use your American Express SimplyCash card.  (If you’ve chosen US gas stations as your 3% cash back category.)

Earn Plenti Points AND 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards Points Using Your Chase Ink Card to Pay Your AT&T Bills

Triple-Dip

And you can triple-dip!  That’s because you can also earn Plenti points shopping at online partners like Macy’s.com.

So you can use your Chase Freedom or Discover It card when department stores are a 5X bonus category, go through the Shop With Chase Mall (sign-in required) or the Discover Mall (sign-in required) to pick up additional bonus points, and also earn Plenti points!

For instance, you currently earn 4 additional Chase Ultimate Rewards points per $1 spent at macys.com when you click through the Shop With Chase Mall.

Shop at Macys.com and Triple-Dip

Using this same idea, you can triple-dip at Staples.com with your Chase Ink Plus, Chase Ink Cash, and Chase Ink Bold by purchasing through the Shop With Chase Mall.

That’s because those cards give you 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points for office supply store purchases.  And you currently get 3 more Chase Ultimate Rewards points at Staples.com at the Shop With Chase Mall (sign-in required).

Bottom Line

Soon you’ll be able to earn points with American Express’ new free loyalty program, Plenti, on purchases at participating shops like AT&T, Exxon, and Macy’s.  And you do NOT have to pay with an American Express card!

You can use Plenti points for discounts at any partner in the program.  You can use 1,000 Plenti points to save $10 off your purchase.

Because you can use any credit card you can double-dip to earn Plenti points and 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points when you pay your AT&T bill with your Chase Ink Plus.

And you can triple-dip when department stores are a 5X bonus category when you go through the Shop With Chase Mall and pay with your Chase Freedom card.

This is a new program so not all the details have been released.  But I’ll keep you posted and let you know when you can sign-up!
