We are an independent publisher. Our reporters create honest, accurate, and objective content to help you make decisions. To support our work, we are paid for providing advertising services. Many, but not all, of the offers and clickable hyperlinks (such as a “Next” button) that appear on this site are from companies that compensate us. The compensation we receive and other factors, such as your location, may impact what ads and links appear on our site, and how, where, and in what order ads and links appear. While we strive to provide a wide range of offers, our site does not include information about every product or service that may be available to you. We strive to keep our information accurate and up-to-date, but some information may not be current. So, your actual offer terms from an advertiser may be different than the offer terms on this site. And the advertised offers may be subject to additional terms and conditions of the advertiser. All information is presented without any warranty or guarantee to you.

This page may include: credit card ads that we may be paid for (“advertiser listing”); and general information about credit card products (“editorial content”). Many, but not all, of the offers and clickable hyperlinks (such as a “Apply Now” button or “Learn More” button) that appear on this site are from companies that compensate us. When you click on that hyperlink or button, you may be directed to the credit card issuer’s website where you can review the terms and conditions for your selected offer. Each advertiser is responsible for the accuracy and availability of its ad offer details, but we attempt to verify those offer details. We have partnerships with advertisers such as Brex, Capital One, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo and Discover. We also include editorial content to educate consumers about financial products and services. Some of that content may also contain ads, including links to advertisers’ sites, and we may be paid on those ads or links.

Hilton has really blown 2018 out of the water with their American Express cards.  My wife and I both are American Express fans.  With the AMEX Hilton cards we have been able to earn over half a million Hilton points, this year, with the following cards:

The information for the Hilton Aspire card has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

I value Hilton points at ~0.5 cents per point, so I expect to get $2,500+ in travel from these points!  And the best part is that the earning never stops with when you take advantage of spending promotions like this one for purchases at Amazon.

I’ll show you how I earned all these points and why I’m now incredibly loyal to Hilton.

Definitely on My Bucket List to Use Hilton Points for a Stay at The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island

How We Earned All Those Hilton Points

There are lot of ways to earn Hilton points (check out our list of all the ways to earn Hilton points).  But the fastest way to collect gobs of them is to earn a welcome bonus from an AMEX Hilton card.

Hilton Has All Different Types of Hotels

Hilton is known for having a lot of different types of hotels.

Whether you need a quick place to stay near the airport, a ritzy city experience like the Hilton Checkers (we stayed here the night of our wedding, it was incredible!), a unique hotel experience like the Hilton Elara in Vegas, or an ultra luxury one-of-a-kind experience at the Conrad Maldives, there is an opportunity to redeem your points in all sorts of ways.

You Can Redeem Hilton Points for Other Things – Like Concerts

Country Concerts Are a Favorite of Ours!

An incredible part of Hilton is they are adapting to the younger generation of travelers like myself.  While earning points is great, it can be equally frustrating to only be able to use them on hotels.  To solve for this issue, Hilton has introduced their auction site where you can bid or redeem points for anything from food tours, to sporting events, to GRAMMY tickets!

This past summer, I was able to grab 4 tickets to a Dierks Bentley concert in Salt Lake City for only 5,000 Hilton points each, which was a great value.

Hilton Provides Hospitality at Its Finest

Up Next on My Schedule Is The Hilton Ponce in Puerto Rico in January 2019

During my most recent visits to Hilton hotels, it has been for special occasions, and they have taken great care of us.

I stayed at the Hilton Checkers in the Finance District of Downtown Los Angeles the night of my wedding.  They gave us a bottle of wine and cheese plate to welcome us, along with a complimentary breakfast for the both of us!  And this was only when I only had Hilton Gold status, which I got as a perk of my AMEX Hilton Ascend card.

Other times when I’ve stayed at a Hilton, I have almost always received upgrades for holding status and have been recognized and thanked for my loyalty.  Joseph recently wrote about how Hilton status is the BEST and easiest to obtain, and I couldn’t agree more!

Soon we’ll be traveling to Puerto Rico and we can’t wait to see the Hilton Ponce Resort!  We are crossing our fingers for a beachfront upgrade since I am now a Hilton Diamond status member (it is complimentary with my Hilton Aspire card).

Bottom Line

People may disagree with my loyalty to Hilton, saying that another brand may be better.  That may or may not be true, but I have found immense value in being loyal to Hilton.  For anyone looking to shop around their loyalty to a hotel brand, I couldn’t recommend Hilton enough for the said reasons.

I’d love to hear in the comments if you have had success in making the most out of the perks you get from the AMEX Hilton Cards!
