We are an independent publisher. Our reporters create honest, accurate, and objective content to help you make decisions. To support our work, we are paid for providing advertising services. Many, but not all, of the offers and clickable hyperlinks (such as a “Next” button) that appear on this site are from companies that compensate us. The compensation we receive and other factors, such as your location, may impact what ads and links appear on our site, and how, where, and in what order ads and links appear. While we strive to provide a wide range of offers, our site does not include information about every product or service that may be available to you. We strive to keep our information accurate and up-to-date, but some information may not be current. So, your actual offer terms from an advertiser may be different than the offer terms on this site. And the advertised offers may be subject to additional terms and conditions of the advertiser. All information is presented without any warranty or guarantee to you.

This page may include: credit card ads that we may be paid for (“advertiser listing”); and general information about credit card products (“editorial content”). Many, but not all, of the offers and clickable hyperlinks (such as a “Apply Now” button or “Learn More” button) that appear on this site are from companies that compensate us. When you click on that hyperlink or button, you may be directed to the credit card issuer’s website where you can review the terms and conditions for your selected offer. Each advertiser is responsible for the accuracy and availability of its ad offer details, but we attempt to verify those offer details. We have partnerships with advertisers such as Brex, Capital One, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo and Discover. We also include editorial content to educate consumers about financial products and services. Some of that content may also contain ads, including links to advertisers’ sites, and we may be paid on those ads or links.

Explore the Majesty of Alaska for Fewer Miles

To get these prices, you’ll have to book by June 13, 2018, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.  Valid travel dates are between September 17, 2018, and November 15, 2018.  Check out this link if you’re interested.

If you live near a participating airport, these sale prices are good!  For example, it costs 30,000 American Airlines miles or 35,000 United Airlines miles to fly from Seattle to Anchorage round-trip in coach.  And the same prices to fly from New York to Cancun.

2.   American Express Is Opening a Centurion Lounge in Los Angeles

The number of AMEX Centurion Lounges is on the rise!

Earlier this year we told you about Centurion Lounges coming to New York (JFK) and Denver airports.  And now, Los Angeles airport is finally getting its very own Centurion Lounge!

The lounge will be in the Tom Bradley International Terminal.  It will be 13,900 square feet, and come with the standard fabulous Centurion Lounge amenities, like hot meals, a full bar, showers, etc.  But it will also have a spa!  Can’t wait to see what that looks like.

AMEX Centurion Lounges Have Buffet-Style Meals

The lounge will also have an area to help international travelers adapt to different time zones.  AMEX says there will be “brightly lit and dimly lit quiet areas to help global travelers adjust to new time zones as they travel internationally.”

With the addition of the lounge at Los Angeles (LAX), AMEX Centurion lounges will now be at the following US locations:

Both The Platinum Card® from American Express and The Business Platinum® Card from American Express will get you and 2 guests into the lounge for free.  You’ll have to pay $50 per person to bring any additional guests.

Note:   You must have a boarding pass, same-day flight, and eligible AMEX Platinum card to enter the lounge.  And AMEX has added further restrictions at certain locations, including Miami and Seattle.

3.   Ink Business Preferred℠ Credit Card Loses Handy Benefits

After August 26, 2018, the Ink Business Preferred℠ Credit Card will no longer have 2 useful benefits.

Currently, the card gives folks 120 days of coverage for damaged or stolen items they purchased with the card (up to $10,000 per claim, $50,000 per year).  You also have 90 days from the date of purchase to find a cheaper price for an item you bought with the card and file for a refund for the difference (up to $500 per claim, $25,000 per year).

Use them while they’re around.
