    I wrote about how the minimum spending on the Barclaycard Arrival Plus® World Elite Mastercard® might be increasing very soon.

    Well, the minimum spending to earn the sign-up bonus has ALREADY increased to $3,000 in 3 months when you apply online! Previously, the minimum spending was $1,000 in 3 months.  But read the rest of the post before clicking on the link to apply!

    Thanks to Million Mile Secrets readers for letting me know that the 40,000 mile Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World Elite MasterCard® card with the LOWER $1,000 minimum spending requirement is still available!  However, you have to CALL Barclays at 800-307-0341 to sign-up for the offer.

    I checked with 3 different employees, and they all confirmed that the previous $1,000 offer is still active if you apply over the phone!  I don’t know how long this will last, but I suspect that it could change soon to match the higher minimum spending if you apply online.

    Make sure that you specifically ask for the 40,000 mile offer when you call Barclays to apply!  And confirm that you’re getting the lower minimum spending requirement when you apply AND when you call to activate the card.

    Emily and I earn a commission if you apply for the Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World Elite MasterCard® using 1 of our links, but that offer has a higher minimum spending of $3,000 within 3 months.  But the mother-in-law rule says that we always let you know of a better offer even if we don’t earn a commission on it!

    Bottom Line

    The minimum spending to get the 40,000 miles or ~$420 in travel on the Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World Elite MasterCard® has increased to $3,000 in 3 months if you apply online.

    But you can still get the previous offer with $1,000 minimum spending offer by calling Barclays at 800-307-0341.  We don’t get a commission if you call Barclays, but it is the better offer for you!

    I don’t know how long this lower spending offer will last, so you may want to apply sooner rather than later in case the better phone offer disappears as well!
