    The Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa is located in the Florida Panhandle on the Gulf of Mexico and sits on a 1-mile long white sand beach.  It was renovated in 2014 and includes 3 pools and 2 whirlpools, several restaurants, and the Serenity by the Sea spa.

    A Hilton category 8 hotel, the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa costs $379 per night or 50,000 Hilton points in March (perfect for a Spring Break trip!).  The average temperature is ~70 degrees so it’s perfect for golfing and outdoor activities!  But keep in mind that it’s slightly cooler (but still pleasant) if you travel in December, January, or February.

    Emily and I had a wonderful time in Key West when we took a mini-vacation there in 2013.  Although we stayed at the Hyatt Key West, the Casa Marina, a Waldorf Astoria Resort is another excellent choice!

    Myrtle Beach might not the best choice if you’re looking for a quiet vacation because it’s packed with hotels (and people!), especially during Spring Break.  But if you’re looking for lots of fun and action, the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort is a good pick!

    Keep in mind Myrtle Beach can be quite cool in the winter months, so if you’re looking for tropical temperatures you’ll want to stay in the spring, summer, or fall.  But there are still plenty of attractions to enjoy even in the cooler weather.

    If you’re looking for a summer trip, the Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront Suites is a perfect place for families or a group of friends.  That’s because a standard room here is a 1-bedroom oceanfront suite with 2 queen beds, living room, full kitchen, and whirlpool tub!

    Standard rooms aren’t usually so fancy!  Because you can only book standard rooms with your Hilton 2 weekend night certificates, this is an excellent deal!

    Located right on the beach at Mission Bay in San Diego, the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa is a Mediterranean-themed resort close to attractions like San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld and the Gaslamp Quarter.

    Enjoy Sailing, Sand, and Sunshine at the Hilton San Diego Resort

    San Diego is well known for its historic districts, festivals, water activities, and excellent Mexican food.

    The hotel itself has several restaurants, but I’d probably venture off the beaten path and find an independent local restaurant serving authentic cuisine!  And naturally I’ll be sure to earn at least 2X points for my meal. 🙂

    The weather in San Diego is mild for most of the year (although slightly cooler in the winter months).  A good time to visit might be from December to April (whale watching season!).

    It normally costs 50,000 Hilton points per night at this Hilton category 8 hotel.  Or you could pay $239!

    How Do You Use the Hilton Weekend Night Certificates?

    You’ll earn the 2 weekend night certificates after you spend $2,500 in the 1st 4 months of opening your Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve account.

    Hilton will email your certificates within 6 to 8 weeks of meeting the minimum spending requirement.  But to book a room, you have to call Hilton at 800-446-6677.

    Call Hilton to Use Your 2 Weekend Night Certificates

    There are a few other details to keep in mind:

    If you accidentally delete the email (or don’t receive it), don’t worry – the certificates should still show up in your Hilton account when you call them!

    Note:   With the limited-time promotion for the $100 statement credit, you must spend at least $100 on your 1st Hilton stay within 3 months of opening your account.

    Bottom Line

    If you’re looking to escape to the beach, there are great Hilton hotels in the US!  And you could get a great deal from using your 2 Hilton weekend night certificates from the Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Card .

    Hotels in California, Florida, and Maryland are all excellent choices!  But there are many others that might appeal to you, depending on your travel style!
