2.   JetBlue Now Charging for Checked Bags, Adds Wi-Fi and New Fare Options

Via The Points Guy, JetBlue introduced fare bundles on June 30, 2015.

You’ll now have to pay more if you want to check a bag.  The lowest-priced fare bundle does NOT include a free checked bag.

Prices for checked bags are either $20 online or $25 at the airport.  Unless you buy a more expensive ticket that includes a checked bag.

The new fares are called Blue, Blue Plus, and Blue Flex.  Here’s an overview of what’s included with each one:

JetBlue Is Adding Wi-Fi to All Flights

JetBlue is also adding free in-flight broadband Wi-Fi to their planes.

It’s already on certain flights. 

The Wi-Fi Speeds Are Fast!

On a recent flight, my friend sent a screenshot and the speeds were good for in-flight internet! 

JetBlue is also adding 10-inch personal video screens to seats in every plane.

I’ll stick to Southwest because you still get 2 free checked bags.  And of course for the best deal in domestic travel, the Companion Pass!
