    Yesterday I told you that Delta was having a sale on domestic coach award seats.

    Now, via View From the Wing, Delta is discounting award prices to the Caribbean and Central America!  You can book round-trip flights from 16,000 Delta miles, though most fares are higher.  You must book by January 10, 2018, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time, for travel between April 8, 2018, and June 1, 2018.

    Delta is advertising sale fares starting at 16,000 Delta miles round-trip in coach (though View From the Wing shows you can find fares even lower).  That said, I had a difficult time finding these low prices on any routes.

    A round-trip flight for 16,000 Delta miles to the Caribbean and Central America is a good deal.  For example, Delta and United Airlines usually charge 35,000 miles round-trip to the Caribbean.  And American Airlines charges 25,000 miles round-trip during off-peak travel dates.

    You may have Delta miles available to you without realizing it!  Take a look at my handy chart to help you figure out which points transfer to which airlines!

    For example, you can transfer American Express Membership Rewards points from cards like the American Express® Gold Card or The Business Platinum® Card from American Express, to Delta at a ratio of 1:1.  And transfers are instant!

    There are plenty of credit cards that earn Delta miles, like the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express, and the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American Express.  You won’t be able to earn the bonus miles in time for this sale, but you can at least prepare for the next sale!

    Just remember, the AMEX welcome bonus rules restrict you from earning a welcome bonus on the SAME card more than once.  So if you’ve had one of these cards before, you will NOT earn the welcome bonus again.
