The Chase Freedom bonus categories have been released for the first 2 quarters of 2017.  And they match the rumors we heard a couple weeks ago!

You’ll get 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points (5% cash back) on up to $1,500 in combined spending when you spend at gas stations and on commuter transportation from January to March 2017.

Note:  Gas stations usually sell more than just gas.  You can usually buy groceries, toiletries, and more!

You’ll also earn 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points when you shop at grocery stores and drug stores from April to June 2017, on up to $1,500 in combined purchases.

Remember, you can activate the bonus starting tomorrow, December 15, 2016.  Don’t worry, you won’t invalidate this quarter’s earnings!

5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points is worth 5% cash back.  But if you have cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or the Chase Ink Business Preferred, you can transfer your points to lots of great airline and hotel partners for even better value!
