You’ll want to earn bonus points with a card like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (3x Chase points on travel) or The Platinum Card® from American Express (5x Amex points on flights booked directly with the airlines or with American Express Travel).

    There are special deals for round-trip flights to Los Angeles, New York and Miami from many Finnish cities starting at €429 (~$473). There are also deals to Asia, Europe or the Middle East. For business-class fares, you can fly to the U.S. from €1,790 ($1,972).

    Even though Aer Lingus has excellent award prices for travel from the U.S. to Ireland, the taxes and fee can be high. With this discount you should be able to find deals for flights that won’t cost much more than what you’d pay in fees on an award flight.
