Last month we let y’all know the new Chase Aer Lingus card was coming soon. And it’s finally arrived…with a BIG sign-up bonus!
With the Chase Aer Lingus card, you can earn up to 100,000 Aer Lingus Avios points after meeting tiered minimum spending requirements.
That’s more than enough for 3 round-trip, off-season tickets from certain US cities to Dublin! Plus, you can use Aer Lingus Avios points to book British Airways, Iberia, or Aer Lingus award flights, or transfer them between the 3 airline loyalty programs.
The information for the British Airways Visa, Chase Aer Lingus and Chase Iberia Plus has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
I’ll share the details of this card and why it might make sense for you. And give you a rundown of the offers on the Chase British Airways Visa Signature Card and Iberia Plus cards, too!
Huge Sign-Up Bonus on the Chase Aer Lingus Card

The Chase Aer Lingus card comes with a sign-up bonus of up to 100,000 Aer Lingus Avios points after meeting tiered minimum spending requirements.
You’ll earn 50,000 Aer Lingus Avios points after you spend $3,000 on purchases within the first 3 months. Plus an additional 25,000 Aer Lingus Avios points after you spend $10,000 on purchases within the first year. And another 25,000 Aer Lingus Avios points after you spend a total of $20,000 on purchases within your first year.
To earn the full sign-up bonus, you’ll have to spend a total of $20,000 on purchases within the first year.
The card also comes with perks like:
- 3X Aer Lingus Avios points per $1 on Aer Lingus, Iberia, British Airways, LEVEL and OpenSkies purchases
- 1X Aer Lingus Avios point per $1 on all other purchases
- Ticket for a companion when a ticket is purchased in economy class, after you spend $30,000 in a calendar year
- Priority boarding on flights to and from the US
- NO foreign transaction fees
- Auto rental collision damage waiver
- Lost luggage reimbursement
- Purchase protection
And the $95 annual fee is NOT waived the first year.
Is the Chase Aer Lingus Card a Good Deal?
Because you can use Aer Lingus Avios points to book British Airways, Iberia, or Aer Lingus award flights, or transfer them between the 3 airline loyalty programs, this card could certainly make sense for some.
It would be especially valuable for anyone who’s looking for a way to save on short-haul flights within the US or Europe. Or those looking for award tickets to Europe! For example, you can book round-trip coach off-peak awards from 6 US Cities to Dublin for only 26,000 Avios points.
Just remember, the Chase Aer Lingus card will count toward your “5/24” limit. And it is impacted by the rule, so if you’ve opened 5 or more credit cards from any bank in the past 24 months you won’t be eligible for it.
Offers on the Chase British Airways and Iberia Cards
The Chase British Airways Visa Signature Card and Iberia Plus cards have similar offers.
With the Iberia Plus card, you can earn up to 100,000 Iberia Avios points, after meeting minimum spending requirements.
Like the Aer Lingus card, the spending requirements are tiered. And you’ll need to spend a total of $20,000 within the first year of account opening to earn the full sign-up bonus.
The Chase British Airways Visa Signature Card offer is a bit different. Instead of a sign-up bonus you’ll earn 4 Avios points per $1 spent in the first year on up to $30,000. So you can earn up to 120,000 Avios with this deal. But it’s not as good as the offers for the Iberia or Aer Lingus cards because if you spent the same $30,000 in the first year with either of those cards, you could end up with 130,000 Avios points.
Bottom Line
The new Chase Aer Lingus card is available! And it comes with a 100,000 Aer Lingus Avios point welcome bonus after meeting tiered minimum spending requirements.
Aer Lingus Avios points are great, because you can use them to book British Airways, Iberia, or Aer Lingus award flights, or transfer them between the 3 airline loyalty programs. And 100,000 Aer Lingus Avios points could be worth $1,000+ in travel if you know how to use them!
